lasted nearly 2yrs and slayed many a bug ,gnats flies and even a few wasps. replacement bulb for a decent price was the only issue i had. Bought a cheaper replacement zapper and it lasted 2.5months so will most likely get another one of these in the spring.

I like this zapper. It has a sliding tray to clean the bugs out. Others have a tray that you have to turn to remove. And it works to rid our back yard of mosquitos. It gets rid of moths too. The only issue is the light sensor cover. It's translucent and does not block out the light so the sensor is always on. I had to use electrical tape over the cover to knock out the light. Enough to take off a star. update: The bug zapper stopped working and so I thought the bulb was bad. I tried to take the bulb out but the pins were rusted into their sockets. I managed to get the fluorescent tube out but the base is still stuck in. The whole thing is a big waste of money. update2: I contacted the seller and after a couple of exchanges due to language difficulties, I managed to tell them the condition of the zapper. They promptly sent me a replacement. I will say that after the first unit rusted at the socket terminals, I sprayed an anti-rust agent used on battery terminals on the bulb terminals to prevent the rusting from occurring again. I would advise everyone to do so. Hopefully the second unit will not rust when I need to replace the bulb.

Seems to work shockingly well

Despite the sensor will not work under shadow I realized that it catches mosquitoes and flies (among other flying insects).

I bought long time three of this item in Costco. I travel often to South America, and this has been the most greatest product because it catch the smaller mosquitoes , great product I recommended hundred percent

Very pleased with this and we live in Flordia...Lots of bugs.

This lasted only about 5months, I got it Oct 2023. Lucky tonight I was around it and started smelling something odd, like burning plastic. The light still works, not sure what is wrong or broken, but when I touch the outside plastic, it felt very hot, and the smell was indeed coming from the inside. I open it up to see the issue, and it looks where you plug the light in is melting!!! You can see its also yellowing like its about to burn. The plastic around it is melted. Im pretty sure if I hadnt been there and unplug it in time, it would had started a fire, possibly BURN MY HOUSE DOWN!!! Unfortunately I dont think I can get a new one or return it, but this is pretty dangerous stuff. I suggest be around it when you have it on even though it has a auto off and on sensor for when theres daylight. You could be sleepin and a start a fire.

Not meant for Indian conditions…when it was ordered, it was nowhere mentioned that it can’t work without step down transformer. However when we noticed this requiment, we procured it at our end but involved time lapse. And by the time it was arranged, we found that it is not functioning. But then the time period for refund was over amd there was no forum where we could contact for our grievance and/or support on this. Overall, sad experience
