Does this work on pine needles

Yes it works on pine needles and moss but better if you add 5lbs to each arm. Also to remove moss completely you need a York rake and sun. Cut the freaking trees back!

Will this work to pull up moss?

Not very well. In fact, it does not work well to pull up thatch, especially when making turns. I returned the one I bought.

Question before buying...where can one get parts for this tool?

you can only get parts from manufacturer a parts list comes with the rake ( to do it over I would buy the one that had 4 wheels throwing leaves or grass in one direction)
