A problem I always have with water, is an immediate cough after the first drink. Like water is some kind of foreign substance… :/ But after the first few sips it stops. But with this water, I’ve never experienced that. Its taste is smooth, the bottles are slim for smaller hands (my grandma) and they fit in any cup holder. The issue is keeping them straight/upright, since they’re so tall and skinny. Solid plastic, won’t puncture or anything if you’re carrying it around. Just very “soft” water. Hard to describe other than just that—Soft and smooth tasting. And if it’s got antioxidants, and it’s easy for my body to absorb being alkaline? I’m for it.

For a handful of years now I’ve had a lot of problems with acid reflux, especially at night. It was to the point where I had to be conscious of what I eat & drink and how close to bed I eat. I discovered that my sister takes antacids every day and she said even water can give her acid. I never thought about that, then I started noticing when I took my nightly supplements and drank a decent amount of water to dissolve them, I would also get acid. I then tested if I would get acid if I “chugged” water before going to bed and absolutely yes! If you read one of the reviews on this alkaline water, this guy tested other brands and this Smartwater alkaline. The other one claimed to be “about 9.5 alkalinity”, but when he tested it, it was only a 5! Every time he tested the Smartwater Alkaline it was 9.5. I know years ago I tried an alkaline water and didn’t notice anything and just kind of forgot about it. I was sleeping 4 to 5 hours a night for years because of acid! I was even diffusing specific oils at night to try to help. After taking the acids, I had to make myself stay up two more hours just hoping it would go away enough that I could sleep and even then sometimes the acid would jump up in my throat. I’ve been drinking this water now for 23 days and I have taken antacids one time and I’m not even sure why at the moment. I’ve had spicy food, and no acid! White wine always gave me acid, but not anymore! I’m so sold on this that I have upped subscribe and save to 2-6 packs every two weeks. That’s a lot for me to spend on water, but it’s not priced as crazy as some other waters and the only one I’m going to really drink from now on. Like I said, it changed my life!
