If my ph and alkalinity is low I will pour in about a 1/4 cup of baking soda and it brings the levels back up to where they need to be, but since I’m running out of baking soda (I had a one pound bag leftover from making bath bombs that I was using) I went ahead and purchased the arm and hammer clear balance tablets, but I have yet to see if they’re too big for my pool so will re-update once I start using that. As far as the intex c330 pump I use…it works wonderfully and I love it, but with the amount of suntan oil, sunscreen, and sun care products I use when laying out - even if I rinse off before getting in the pool, I find that the filter cartridge needs replacing rather quickly. Once a week I use the spray the clean out the filter cartridge and about twice a week I replace the skimmer socks and rotate two at a time and just throw them in with a load of laundry or use the filter cleaner on them.
