Mastectomy pillows are a comfort-essential. Oakleaf has good reviews and a great price. Bring this with you to the hospital. The first couple days are the worst. The mastectomy pillow is like a soft hug and gentle support especially when you need to move. In bed it supports your arms, reducing stress on your chest muscles and shoulders. The first time post op that I put this on I literally said, "Ahh!" the comfort was instant. One recommendation is to purchase a dress clip to close the mid back of the pillow. This gave more support and kept the pillow out of my way when doing activities. Specific things I like about this pillow.: Well constructed, soft, quality material. Machine washable and dryable taking 45-60 min to dry. And supposably it fluffs up better after washing! The armpit area is generous and comfortable and filling is perfect density. 3 pockets inside for ice packs, one outside for tv changer,OR 3 pockets outside and one inside! Versatile! I have one more surgery to go. Comfort, Durability and washability are improtant to me. This checks all my boxes!

Used this following my gynecomastia surgery and it worked great! Super comfortable, pockets don't hold much weight or take up too much space (which is good, since you're not supposed to be lifting/carrying much anyways), and I could sleep with it quite well! The underarm holes were a game-changer, and helped to keep me comfortable even when things got rough. It's also great for keeping your back aligned if you have back problems!

Great protection for the ride home after mastectomy. It help keep me from rolling during sleep to protect my bandaged area. It also protected me from my dog wanting to roll on me for loving.

My first week during recovery i NEVER took this off, it helped me sleep so much better and held my drains so i didnt need to get a crappy mastectomy shirt. If you are getting any type of chest removal surgery (or implants), get this. Its great quality, can fit larger people, and can hold several things. For size examples, side pockets can hold like 2 phones, front pocket can hold 4.

This pillow worked amazingly after I had top surgery. It has pockets that you can put your phone/snacks/meds in, it’s has adjustable straps, and it’s super soft and comfy. It made me feel safe when I was driving home from surgery, just laying in bed, or walking around my house. If you are having double mastectomy/top surgery I would definitely suggest getting this to make it a lot easier on you.

I was so glad I purchased this kind of pillow after my surgery, made my life so much better. It’s comfortable, good support and washable too. I wished I knew about it days before my surgery because I was supposed to have it with me right after getting out of the clinic but I didn’t know about it. I found out about this pillow August 9th I ordered it August 9th it came August 10th my surgery was August 11th. I felt like this pillow was going to be unnecessary at first but I decided to give it a shot because of the low price. This pillow has been an absolute life changer. I’ve had it on since I left the hospital. I took it off for less than an hour and started to feel pain on my sides. It supports my arms enough so I can sleep comfortably at night I also have incisions on my side under my arms the pillow stops me from resting my arms directly on my incisions and it fits to my body so well and has adjustable straps. It’s also a great material and super soft. Also the pocket for my phone has been way more convenient than I expected.

Didn’t get much use from it but was extremely comforting when I needed it. Just getting over a mastectomy and got this pillow due to popular opinion. I’m a side sleeper so I was hoping this would keep me from rolling over. Ehh. I don’t think it did. But it was better used for comfort during some stressful times. My surgeon stressed to not use ice packs so I can’t comment on that. But the pockets for ice packs are fairly large! They can even accommodate mini to small lunch box ice packs bricks. Those blue ones at the grocery store. The small one is a tight squeeze and may rip the fabric if you’re too rough. The mini is perfect for all 3 pouches. Has a nice phone/misc item holder on the top, too. The straps were easy to get in and out of even with limited movement and no helper. I didn’t use the buckle but just shimmied in like it was a shirt. Was pretty easy. Was the most comforting when pulled up under my chin like a kid tucking in for bed at night. I agree it’s useful to have an assigned spot for hands. I knew where I could put my hands when just laying around. I just held the pillow. Comfort items like this are very YMMV. Better to have and not need than be without. I’ve been debating keeping it for when I get sick or pass it along to someone else undergoing surgery. It’s small enough to store relatively easily when not in use. Also: wash it before judging. It properly fluffed up after a wash and dry and looks great now. Normal warm wash, normal dry. Looks perfect. Idk how many cycles it can handle but it seems pretty sturdy and durable. Nobody should be in the spot to need a pillow like this but it’s a great one if you do.

I love it! I bought it for my mastectomy post-op recovery. I put some is on the side which has 3 pockets and can walk around the house without *holding the ice. All my doctors told me that walking, even if it's around the house in the first few days is a good thing. The fabric of the pillow is very soft and it's easily adjustable. Since the fabric is quite thin, the pockets can't hold too much weight so be careful that your ice our any other objects don't fall off. What I like: colour, fabric, pockets, easy adjustable and the pillow its self is lightweight, protects me from my pet jumping/going on my chest and makes me more confortable while doing different activities around the house preventing me to *hit accidentally my scar I would not hesitate to recommend this product! ♥️

Amazing pillow. Worked perfectly during recovery not only in the car but also just sitting around watching tv. Still using when driving long distances to help with stress in the back and shoulders. Awesome purchase.

Fab for traveling after a op, it was expensive and a cheaper one would have done the same thing, but otherwise a great cushioning for after breast surgery
