Ran out of ports on my main setup and needed a permanent fix. This metal hub feels solid on the desk and doesn't slide around when you plug things in. It works a treat for keeping everything connected. The best bit is definitely the individual power switches. You just press the button next to the port to turn a device off instead of pulling the cable out every time. The blue lights let you know instantly what is live. One thing to watch out for is the main data cable. It is a bit on the short side. If your PC tower sits on the floor, you might struggle to get the hub to sit comfortably on top of your desk without buying a longer cable. Apart from that, it is dead easy to use. No messing about with drivers or setup. Just plug in the mains adapter and it runs external hard drives and card readers with no dropouts. Solid bit of kit.

Excellent product....powered usb is always the best....works fine

I purchased this hub mainly because it's powered, so I can use it to connect and charge many devices at once while not having a mess of cables near my laptop. Works decently with most devices, as long as they don't need too much power. When charging an iPad and powering an external HDD, for example, it would often disconnect. The individual switches are really useful to enable devices only when needed (like the external HDD, or some USB-powered accessories). When powered, a small led next to the USB port lights up. They're quite bright but it doesn't bother me as it's tucked under my monitor. If you have it on your desk and work in the dark, it may be a little distracting. Aesthetically it's a black block with a chrome rim, I prefer more subtle designs but for this price you can't pretend a red dot award. Overall a good accessory with some minor flaws, balanced by the good price. Pros: - not too bulky - good number of ports - individual switches for each port - powered - quite cheap Cons: - some reliability issues when multiple power-hungry devices are connected - loud "buzzing" sound at times, quite annoying if, like me, your home office is in the bedroom. I just unplug it at night.

Bought a new laptop and it did not have enough USB, so I researched this product and decided to buy it as I only use external hard drives for my hobby, , its a brilliant bit of kit and works as it should, I do like the the on off buttons on the stick so you don't have to run all the external hard drives at once. it does work as a portable drive as well as a plug in so that's a bonus. only downside is the cable from the computer to the stick could do with being a little longer. Would recommend this product to family and friends.

Needed to expand the USB ports facility for the desktop, so decided to buy this based on good reviews, and found it to be very handy indeed and great at expanding the USB ports requirements to our desktop ! The lights on the hub flicker showing the sending and receiving of information to and from the hub of plugged-in devices, USB peripherals, etc. Good for showing that it's operating. The separate light for each port also shows when it is switched on or off via the push button switch for each port. Being powered is a great advantage for maintaining sufficient power to various plugged in devices and peripherals that require power without putting a strain on the desktop USB power source. Our old un-powered 4 port USB hub was great for what it was doing in the past, but now this powered replacement was needed to expand the USB facility to the desktop without leaving the added plugged-in peripherals short of power. A great improvement there ! Good solid feel to this 7 port powered hub, good cable length to reach the desktop USB 3.0 port at the back of the desktop without having the hub too close to it. Nice push button feature to turn on and off each port as needed, overall - a pretty decent USB hub replacement for our old 4 port un-powered USB hub ! This USB powered hub also negotiates the power requirements for each device providing sufficient power for the average powered device or peripheral that could be used with it. Because each port can be switched off if not needed it also leaves the hub the ability to manage power to devices or peripherals that require power. A good buy ! Almost forgot - this is backwards compatible as expected with earlier USB's etc. But do check before purchasing that this is compatible with your peripherals and devices to be plugged in and is fit for your needs ! Very good and as described

Very functional USB hub and easy to use. The individual on/off switches are useful, the ports handle multiple devices without issues, and the aluminium body feels solid. Does exactly what it’s meant to do and keeps everything organised.

This hub looks really good, feels well-made, and connectors fit snugly into it. It also has a neat set of lighting shows that work best at night. The 20W transformer is enough to power 3 or 4 of the 6 external HDDs I have attached, but if you turn on too many at once they can stop working, which is not good if you happen to be writing to them at the time. Not a major problem for me, since I rarely run more than 2 at a time, but worth noting. My main gripe is that the 'ON' switches are *very* sensitive, so will sometimes turn on when you pass your hand too close, or turn on the drive _next_ to the one you actually want. Some may also find the 5Gbps transfer speed too slow, especially for newer SSDs and the like, but for me and my Stone Age hard disks it's more than enough.

Heute ist mein neuer RGB-USB-Hub angekommen und ich bin begeistert. Er hat 14 schöne RGB-Modi (siehe Video). Nimmt man ihm den Strom weg (Computer aus oder Kabel raus z.B.) merkt er sich 1. ob die bunten LEDs an oder aus waren, 2. welcher RGB-Modus aktiv war und auch welcher der 7 USB-3.0-Ports aktiv war. Die Bedienung erfolgt durch "Touch-Buttons". Legt man den Finger kurz auf einen der 7 An-Aus-Buttons an den Ports, wird der jeweilige Port aktiviert, was durch eine blaue LED signalisiert wird. Zum Ausschalten legt man den Finger 2 Sekunden lang auf den Button. Dies verhindert ein versehentliches Ausschalten. Gleiches gilt für den Haupt-An-Aus-Button. Dieser ist gleichzeitig auch zum Umschalten zwischen den RGB-Modi zuständig. Kurzes Drücken schaltet die 14 RGB-Modi durch. Der USB-Hub kann einfach über die USB-Verbindung des Computers betrieben werden. Wird mehr Strom für angeschlossene USB-Geräte benötigt, liegt dem Paket noch ein externes Netzteil bei. Anschließen lässt sich der Hub am Computer an einem USB 3 Port für volle Leistung. Natürlich lässt sich der Hub auch an einem USB 2 Port betreiben, ist dann aber auch nur so schnell wie USB 2. Außerdem kann man den USB 3.0 Adapter am Kabel abnehmen und hat dann einen USB-C-Anschluss, über den man den Hub auch betreiben kann. (siehe Fotos) Funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Mein Fazit: 1. Tolles Produkt, welches super funktioniert. 2. Einzeln Schaltbare USB-Ports, so dass man nicht ständig USB-Anschlüsse an- und abstecken muss und wir wissen alle, wie oft man den USB-Stick erst 3x drehen muss, bis er dann passt ;) 3. Neben toller Funktionalität auch schöne RGB-Beleuchtung mit vielen verschiedenen Modi. Einziger Nachteil: Das USB-Kabel ist recht dick und dadurch etwas steif. Man muss es etwas zurechtbiegen, damit der Hub auch gut steht. Aber das ist ja nicht schlimm. Außerdem könnte das Kabel etwas länger sein (es ist ca. 1m lang).

And to top it off, it's compact in size, making it perfect for my setup. The quality of this product is undeniable. It's clear that the manufacturer put thought and care into its design, making it well worth the cost. I even bought two of them and have them attached to both sides of my cabinet, allowing me to easily control various USB elements of my setup. The power switches are a game changer for me, giving me the ability to power specific elements on and off as needed. This USB hub has truly exceeded my expectations. I'm able to power my 4K 60hz monitor, charge and my headphones, keyboard, and mouse, power other hubs for my RGB elements, and even keep my RTX 4090 cool inside my case with a blower motor. And the fact that it can power security cameras that run 24/7, even when my computer is off, is simply amazing. I can't recommend this product enough, it's easily one of the best purchases I've EVER made off Amazon. If there's one thing I could ask of the manufacturer, it would be to create a high power (100+ watt, independently powered ports that utilize USB C that offers real "Rapid Charging" of cellphones) that has all of these same features. If they did, I would buy a few of them without hesitation even at twice the cost. So, to the manufacturer, I say "BRAVO!" Keep up the great work and keep creating high quality products that meet the needs of RGB tech enthusiasts like myself. You earned yourself a customer for life.
