Old pump became really noisy and even after log soaks in vinegar would not work well and clean up. This one is much quieter and has good pressure. easy to clean. Fit perfectly with good flow rate.

This works so much better than the pumps we had already. We might actually throw out our other pumps and replace them with this one. Not sure why, but it just seems to push out water harder and faster.

This is the good pump. It is for a ceramic fountain (petsafe?) that requires some power to the flow. If you have the other (plastic brand) cat fountain with the cheap bad pump and power supply, you will need to take the adjustable front grill off of your old pump and fit it onto this one to get the right flow for that pump. This new pump doesn't have the flow adjustment knob on the front grill, but you can exchange them seamlessly, and the middle piece that has the other side of the flow control lip is the same on both pumps. This pump also has the easy tabs to assist with cleaning.

I had been sooooo frustrated with this pump motor as I replaced the one that came with my brand new unit about a year after I bought it. Then, only a couple months later, the new one quit working! I was really upset and knew I had seen some reviews about the same thing. I reviewed the page again to read the instructions on cleaning to ensure I wasn't missing anything. The only thing I struggled with in the past was cleaning the inside of the motor unit. I religiously clean every single part of the Drinkwell fountain, filters, etc. at least twice each week, but was still having issues and still saw little black specs floating in the water. I didn't think my motor pump would actually open up as described (I figured mine was slightly different than described on line), but low and behold, the tiny little seam in the plastic DOES open if you get your fingernail in there. And it comes off pretty easily. Then you can remove the inside parts as described on the seller's page and clean them thoroughly, adding a drop of vegetable oil on the inside metal pin as described. Voila! It worked! It even worked on the "old" one that I set aside months ago thinking it was trash. Now I have two that work. I can't tell you how excited I was to fix both of these and now realize how quickly all that "gunk" builds up inside the motor and must be cleaned to operate correctly over time. Give it a try -- you'll be so much less frustrated and won't have to buy a whole new fountain.

Good pump for my dogs' water fountain. Strong, but it only lasts about 2 years before needing to be replaced. Will accumulate lots of dog hair, even with filters. So, needs consistent deep cleaning, but I think that is to be expected.

Works great!! Fountain is functioning properly, again. I'm happy, cars are happy. Win, win.

I didn't know a transformer would come with this. Save your old transformer, as the one sent is loud. The pump is very good and has bump outs that make removing the propeller cover and outer cover very easy! That was a problem with my old one. Since I was only needing the pump, this is a great deal.

My Fountain stopped working the other day and my cats were miserable, thankfully Amazon was able to get me a pump the next day and I set it up as soon as I got home. I have happy kitties again and the pump that works so amazingly well, with an awesome flow rate. I did not realize just how crappy the original pump was all these years. It's nice to have a pump with suction Feet Again, because it stays in place. I'm super happy with my purchase and it saved me from having to replace the entire fountain. I have the Drinkwell 360° and this is basically identical to the original pump. Remember to keep the uptake tube! The pump comes with the adapter, so it's good to go. I will update this review if it doesn't last, the original one I had for 7 years.

Brought to replace a broken cat water fountain pump. The new pump is supplied with an 'American' plug/transformer (as shown in the pictures), so an adaptor would be required if you need to replace everything. However the new pump can be plugged into the old transformer if it is still working. Pump working well with no issues.

The voltage is wrong!

La bomba es exactamente igual a la original que venía con la fuente, solo cambia que la original era toda negra y está viene con las partes desmontables en color azul para identificar más fácil que tienes que desmontar para limpiarla. Revisé las etiquetas y es incluso de la misma marca que venía con la fuente. L bomba funcionó perfectamente, solo que ya no la he probado más porque como dato curioso, después de una semana de estar intentando hacer que funcionara la vieja fue que ordene esta, y justo hoy que llegó se le ocurrió funcionar nuevamente a la antigua, así que guardaré esta como repuesto para cuando de plano ya no quiera funcionar la anterior.

It is beyond me why somebody will sell a piece of electrical equipment unsuitable for the electrical system in the UAE. This pump is for the US 110V system. It will break down very quickly in the UAE where the voltage is 220V and may even present a fire hazard.
