Is the paper glossy? Did you need to use special pen that didn't smudge?

Hi, Any pen will be OK or a pencil to begin with. However, it is important to use a pen with good quality ink/pigment that doesn't fade over time. Avoid cheap ball point pens.

Is there any available information on how to use. What is the best pen to use. how to use and record your family tree. It looks complicated.

Pencil is good idea to start with. Use a good quality ink pen when you are confident you have the people in the right place. Low cost pens tend to fade quickly.

If I order 4 charts rolled. Do they come in separate tubes.?

Hi, these are ancestor charts so they are made to record ancestors of a single person. If you start with yourself for instance then the next generation is your two parents and the third generation will be your 4 grandparents etc. To record descendants of people then you will need to look at our 'Working chart' as these allow you to any number of children to many families creating either a descendant charts or you could go up and down adding cousins, aunts and uncles etc.
