Sweet Potatoes (8 lb.)

I have ordered these sweet potatoes before. They are fresh, large and excellent tasting. I think they are an excellent value for the price .I will continue to order them in the future ..

UPDATE: I have gorgeous vines growing. The vigor of the sprouting vines attests to the freshness and quality of these sweet potatoes. I will be using the vines to grow more SPs indoors, and as a trailing houseplant that should eventually flower. ORIGINAL REVIEW: These are absolutely beautiful sweet potatoes. No blemishes, order weight was correct, arrived well packaged. I'm going to use them for generating slips for my garden, and of course for eating. The seller for my March 2019 order was "La to sole" in California zip 91770 (on the shipping box) . Can the seller please confirm the actual variety for me so I can label the slips correctly ? Thank you for providing a high quality product. :)

AMAZON IS AWESOME.... BUT NOT THIS PRODUCT..... OH MY GOSH..... THEY ARE SO SMALL!!!!! It will take me FOREVER to peel each one of these being so small. I would say for every 3 sometimes even 4 to make a large normal size sweet potato. I make Doggie Treats for my Mini Aussie. They are so wonderful as treat for her. She was getting so fat. and I was worried about arthritis. My Vet was too. Panda is my Guide Dog and she absolutely loves her job. In fact she will seriously chew my butt out when we have to leave her home, like hospital stays. When I get home she refuses to let me love on her until s he has barked every bit of her frustration with me leaving her. So treats are a must sometimes. So I started dehydrating sweet potato dog treats for her. I make slices, diced ones and her favorite doggie french fries (only they are dehydrated not fried). Anyway these stupid tiny sweet potatoes will make my job so much harder. I wanted to return them for false description but there are no returns. So UN HAPPY "UPDATE" FINALLY got all peeled and sliced, I had 1 yellow sweet potato in this mess and "12 ROTTEN". now that I finally got them all peeled and sliced (too small for making dehydrated french fries out of them, Panda will be "DISAPPOINTED" ..... I have to admit, dispute their ridiculous size and fer to many rotten ones, they actually skied nicely and I guess the size made them closer to a good treat size overall. I noticed newer emails that had given better reviews. Perhaps since I purchased just before Thanksgiving, they ran out of the large size other customers received. I will give them the benefit of doubt for now. If I do ever decide to try them again, I will definitely let you know how that purchased comes out.

First, I am grateful to have these sweet potatoes in these shelter-in-place times, so I hate to register any complaint at all, and I struggled with this review. The flavor is great, and there were A LOT fo sweet potatoes. The downside: They are soooo skinny - I have NEVER seen such skinny sweet potatoes. Like they are babies or something. Width-wise, these are more like two carrots in circumference than the plump sweet potatoes I am used to. For some folks, that might not be a problem at all. For me, it is a bit of a problem because of how I use the sweet potatoes. I like to "sheet" sweet potatoes for lasagna noodles and these particular sweet potatoes were a wee bit too skinny to be ideal for that "sheeting" purpose. That said, I did give that a try and while a single sweet potato didn't make a lot of lasagna noodles, the lasagna noodles I could generate off of one sweet potato were tasty. On the other hand, because these are so skinny, I was able to put it through the narrowest cuisinart feeding tube for sweet potato air fried chips, and the flavor is excellent. Bottom line: They are as tasty as they are too skinny. If they had a size rating, that would be about a one or two star (unless all you want to do is make sweet potato potato chips), but the taste rating is a five however the use. Still, be aware, the ones I got are the skinniest sweet potatoes I've ever seen. However, there was a lot of sweet potatoes in the box (-so quantity is a five star too, but perhaps the large quantity is to compensate for each one not weighing much because they are thin). In any event, I am grateful to have them in these shelter-in-place times, THANK YOU!

Just received my sweet potatoes . It took longer than I liked to get them but every one is big and solid and very pretty . I am very pleased .

Beautiful sweet potatoes! Plan to roast some , can some, and make sweet potato pie with som. 8 lbs is a lot of sweet potatoes. Very reasonable price.

Fair price, it’s a lot of potatoes

The sweet potatoes looked nothing like the ones in the picture. The more were a few whole sweet potatoes and the rest were in small pieces and dirt and not worth bothering with. Very disappointed.
