猫壱 NECOICHI Crinkly Critters Dancing Dragonfly Trio Wire Cat Wand No.1 Selling Cat Toy in Japan

This review is for the “Necoichi Crinkly Critters Dancing Dragonfly” toy. My cat is very picky when it comes to toys, and quickly loses interest in almost everything I’ve bought. BUT this toy has kept him enraptured for over a week, and is still going strong. I was worried his rough play would tear it up after just a couple times, but he’s been surprisingly gentle when gnawing on it. This is by far the best toy I’ve found. My one quibble is the wire being very easily bending — but at the same time, it makes for a more erratic movement because it’s hard to control, but that actually adds to the realism. I cannot emphasize enough just how much my cat L O V E S this toy. I will absolutely buy another whenever this one needs replacing. THANK YOU FOR MAKING A TOY MY KITTY ACTUALLY CONTINUES TO PLAY WITH!!!!

Bought on a whim for our Maine coon. She is a sky hunter and wants birds, squirrels, moths and bees. She goes nuts for this and it's chewed up within 2 days. She eventually rips the wing out of the pom poms or rips the pom poms off the end. I'm exploring trying to make new wings to glue on but finding the right crunchy fluttery plastic is tough. She will continue to play with it after she's hole punched the bejebees out of the wings but it's more fun right at first. We give our cat sitter a new one to open for her when we leave. Can't even tell it was new by the time we get home a few days later.

My cat is obsessed! He doesn’t usually love flying type wand toys but this one he absolutely adores. It’s only been 2 days since I’ve gotten it and my guy isn’t too rough with toys so I’m not experiencing the flimsiness but can understand what others are saying. I think the flimsiness adds to the level of movement and chaotic-ness though.

Quality: I think this is a medium quality, affordable toy. It's not particularly well built, but I wouldn't expect it to be for the price. The end is not fastened particularly securely and it's not easy to repair if one of the pompoms is pulled off due to the fact that the felt rips. Not chew resistant. It's still usable as is with 2 of the pompoms, but it's impossible to replace the third since the hook at the end of the toy ripped the felt when it came off. Additionally, the handle is very cheapy and plastic-y, and I worry that it will split soon. Pet attraction: My cat LOVES this thing and I would probably repurchase it despite its lack of lasting power. I may look for another brand, as I've seen a couple similar products around. If your cat loves Mylar or crinkly toys, they will LOVE this toy! I think my kitty could chase it around for hours. I have to hide it at night because otherwise she will seek it out and play with it on her own. It is very loud! Because the wire is semi-stiff but bendable, just spinning the handle around will move the dragonfly quite a bit and antics will ensue. This is not your typical wand-and-string toy! The wire's movement mimics an actual insect quite well and my cat is a huge fan. It is quite easy to use and intuitive to play with, and not too heavy to hold.

My cat looooves this toy!!! I’ve only had it out about 20 minutes and I think this may have usurped the cat dancer as the fan favorite. He usually loses interest intermittently while playing but this one is keeping his attention because the wings make flappy noises to draw him back into chasing again. The wings seem pretty sturdy; I’m sure they’ll get bent one day but have been holding up so far. Slightly expensive for a cat toy but I think it’s worth it and will get a backup soon.

The wire used for this toy NEEDS to be at least doubled in thickness. The company was obviously being cheap and making a junk product by using such a thin wire. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding this product. The wire is so flimsy it will bend in half within your first five minutes of use. It's so flimsy, that you cannot direct the toy on the end of the wire to play with your cat. I'm shocked that Necoichi actually made such a junk toy. They usually make high quality products.

Cats absolutely loved playing with this, and arguably may be their favorite so far of all time. That said, unfortunately it only lasted 4, 20 minute play sessions before falling apart. Was the happiness it brought them worth the $9? Absolutely! But I wish this was made to last.

My cats loved this! I've bought so many cat toys through the years, just hoping to keep my cats happy and engaged. I've pretty much been disappointed in so many of those. But, whoever created this crinkly dragonfly toy, obviously has cats! It's been on every other day rotation with mine and so far, it's holding up quite well! I think it's the combination of both the design of the wings and the sound they make when you move the toy through the air. No matter how long this one lasts, I'll be ordering again!

Best cat toy ever! My cat loves this toy! Will play with it for hours! Will absolutely purchase again!

Pricey for what it is, but my cat thinks this is the best thing in the world, so worth every penny

Honestly it’s a good engaging toy for your felines however it’s not worth it for the price point. The rod is flimsy and hard to control the item itself is very cheaply made I can go to the dollar store and buy all the supplies to make this, now that doesn’t mean I will but considering the price to quality ratio it’s not worth it.
