I recently added the SMEG 7-Cup Electric Kettle in Glossy Black to my kitchen, and I couldn’t be happier with it—especially since it perfectly matches my SMEG toaster! The glossy black finish is sleek and classic, and having the two side by side really ties everything together. The retro design adds a stylish touch, but still blends beautifully with my more modern kitchen. Beyond the looks, the kettle performs just as well as you’d hope. It heats water quickly and quietly, and the 7-cup capacity is perfect whether I’m making a single cup of tea or a full French press. The soft-opening lid is one of those little details that makes a big difference—it opens gently, without that sudden snap-back you get with other kettles. It just feels smooth and thoughtfully designed. Another feature I really appreciate is the built-in limescale filter. It helps keep the water clean and the kettle in great shape, especially since I live in an area with hard water. Cleaning is super easy, and I know it’ll last longer because of that. Overall, it’s a perfect combination of form and function. It looks gorgeous on the counter, works beautifully, and matches my toaster perfectly. I saved up and splurged on this SMEG tea kettle as a reward to myself. I don’t usually spend this kind of money on a kitchen item, but I was so excited and proud to have it. It looked beautiful in my kitchen and I genuinely loved it. That’s why I’m so crushed to see a huge air bubble form on the side. It looks like a defect in the finish, and now the kettle is making strange popping/crackling noises in that area as well. For something at this price point, this shouldn’t be happening. This wasn’t just a kettle to me — it was a special purchase. I’m incredibly disappointed that the quality hasn’t matched the price.

I absolutely love this kettle. However, the kettle started forming a bubble at the top under the plastic seal, trapping water and air against the mettle every time it heats. I did purchase an extended protection plan (3 year plan) but the coverage expired just as this started happening so I have not been able to get a replacement.

Highly recommend, I trusted the brand, works well and find it quick to boil or heat your water, I liked the sleek switch that light up as well, and I also loved how it is very minimalist style and just sophisticated. It really pairs well with my kitchen black and white theme.

La marca es muy buena en diseño y cumple su función principal que es calentar agua, ya hay una versión que te calienta el agua a diferentes temperaturas, lo vi recién recibí el producto, pero en mi caso es suficiente, amantes del té muy puntuales se hubieran arrepentido.
