Ultimate Tinted Vinyl Film for Front and Rear Lights (30.5 cm x 2.1 m, Clear Smoke)

This is the first Amazon review I’ve ever posted. I’m a long time Amazon purchaser but have never felt the need to write a review before, until I bought this product. After trying many types of wraps and tint films etc… this product is levels above anything else! It is so easy to work with, the finish is amazing! Make sure to have a heat gun or hair dryer at hand, it only needs a light warning and becomes very flexible. It is super easy to move and bend, zero bubbles or ripples at all. If you’ve ever struggled to wrap something, it’s because you had a bad product. This stuff is so good to use it’s hard to explain, just buy it, you won’t regret it! Will be buying again to do my headlights next!

Very good tint, light smoke is nice and light. Easy to use required very little heat watch the YouTube videos and you can't go wrong. Has a backing and a top protective layer which can be stretched so remove when you have finished the job.

Quite difficult to apply especially if your lights are an awkward shape. I used 3 rolls in the end 🙈. It wasn't until I watched videos on youtube about the product application and making sure to use enough heat, that I eventually got it right. Didn't get it 100% but its good enough for me. Make sure to remove the protective cap/film when finished or it will look rubbish. Also I noticed when look close up there's various marks on or under the film but that may be due to my amateur application skills!

Load of rubbish. Gets full of bubbles and creases no matter what you do with it. Supposed to have air release feature. Doesn’t work!!

I was wrong. I left a bad review before realising there is an outer protective layer that needs removing after install. Now all is brilliant.

Good quality tinting film, easy enough to install. Would say it’s a two man job if you’re doing it yourself and you want it to look good.

been tinting for 23 years, thought I'd try this product due to the description of high gloss and air release properties, apples good, easy to work with... until you remove the cap/top coat... it'll reveal areas where the glue area just needs MUCH more pressure..but other sections are ok?? problem is if you go over that glue area again, the gloss top coat scratches badly..wet or dry, hard card or squeegee. so in the end you either have patchy areas in the glue which ruin the clarity or scratched areas where you've attempted to lay it down harder...I mean, how hard do they expect you to hard card it? just tired of these products offering claims that in fact,it never lives up to

Good product to install but unfortunately started lifting after 1 day. Surfaces were all prepared and cleaned correctly and film applied correctly but just did not stick well.

“Installed the Dark smoke on my 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage in about 1 hour and a half, using tools made for applying film. The trick is to heat and then stretch it over the tail light while using the squeegee to iron out the wrinkles. I would also take off the clear protective film while installing. It Definitely takes skill, but once you get the hang it's easy. Quality is strong, it doesn't scratch or burn easy. I would recommend this stuff and trying it yourselves. Beats paying $150 bucks to get them tinted.

Love this tint! Use it all the time for my vehicle and costumers! Goes on great and easy to work with! If vivid want to work with me I would love to promote this product for them!

After reading reviews, I had high hopes for this vinyl. I’ve used other Vvivid products and they have worked fine. I have also wrapped multiple vehicles in my life with Avery annd 3M products and have a decent amount of experience wrapping vehicles. I pulled the trigger on attempting to tint the tail lights on my 2020 Silverado 2500HD High Country. After successfully installing until I get to the top, it is impossible to get around that curve and lay it in one piece without creating fingers. I tried heat, no heat; tried to heat it up, letting it rest, still creased. I had to reapply heat with a bunch of tension to stretch the vinyl over that final corner. By the time I had it, the outside layer of protection was starting to peel. After cutting and removing the protective layer, there were some scratches, even though I was using a felt tipped squeegee. Stretching it caused weird discoloration on the vinyl and looked ugly. I ended up cutting another piece and tried it again; but ran into the same issue. I was trying to be very delicate this time, but you have to stretch it over this portion and the lines it creates looks cheap and horrible. After 2 failed attempts at the same spot, I ended up chucking the box of the rest of the vinyl across my yard. I’d stay away from this product, although it is thick, stretching will thin it out and cause discoloration, which looks funky. $20 is cheap but it was like wadding up that $20 and throwing it in the trash. I’m sure it’d work on flatter surfaces and be much easier to get it looking right, I could even just cut a piece and cover that area and do the rest of the tail light, in 2-pieces. Just wish someone had warned me that stretching the material would cause issues.

Although it says it let's more light go through, if you get the dark smoke, it will diminish greatly the light passing through (legit makes my fog lights useless). Says you can heat it up without affecting the tint, but when doing the rear headlights of my 08 hyundai accent (relatively flat, no crazy curvature), it deformed the coloration and it is no longer uniformely black. Also, I don't know where is supposed to be the bubble releasing features because it was lowkey a pain in the ass to push out the bubbles that were forming with the heat gun. 🫠 Tried to apply it to my side markers (worse design ever with this car), could not have the wrap stretched enough to follow the curve without loosing it's adherence and uniformity. I wasted a good foot of product trying to wrap two tiny side marker assemblies. The reason I am not leaving 1 star is because when you do have it applied and it did not deform, and it's day time, it does look good. Definitely increasing the stealthy look I was looking for but I will sadly have to remove it all and get something else for the reasons above.
