No, unfortunately they are not entirely water tight. Liquids will slowly drip out a bit.

Which type of frosted plastic are these made & are they recyclable?

They are made of PP5 (polypropylene) and yes they are recyclable.

Can you store food in these and put into freezer?

Although this type of plastic is food safe, they are not listed as such and I'd have to wonder what other chemicals they were processed with. Best to store food for your enemies, just in case.
