Review: Very useful to understand how I work / new tools - After a lifetime of psychological diagnoses for issues like depression and social discomfort, in my 70's realized the way I function fits ADHD. I'm a process and tool person - book gave me insight into why things work / don't work for me and how to motivate myself. Very useful for social insights. Note up to now Myers Briggs Psych Type gave me a lot of insight into how I function, but this really broadens the field. Review: THIS 2-FOR-1 IS A MUST HAVE! - This book is so helpful...it offers ACTUAL ADHD-Friendly suggestions as well as alternative solutions, and possible workarounds; allowing us to build the framework for the systems we've needed all along. The book itself is set-up ADHD friendly too, NOT a must-read-in-order-in-entirety-in-order-to-succeed...and that is something I found SO HELPFUL... the roadblocks I hit from day to day vary greatly; having both books at once and the ability to flip to specific sections to find possible solutions or a little bit of support and encouragement is game-changing!

An easy read, a great book for starters
I have mixed feelings about this book. While it was a great first book, it ASSUMES that you JUST found out you have ADHD. I was a bit bothered by it, since I had ADHD since I was little, I just never tackled it. Lots of typos, I mean lots of. I enjoyed that it was an easy read and had some good strategies to get started on your management of ADHD, but honestly, I felt it would be somewhat more advanced. I guess the title was a bit misleading. Also, I was quite offended how the book assumes that all women of ADHD are basically sl$t$ and sleep around with anyone and everyone. Out of all challenges that women with ADHD go through, it found it odd that this was a big highlight for women with ADHD. Which isn't relevant for me, but it was a bit distasteful. Overall, I don't regret reading it, because it was easy to digest, was an easy read (Even for someone like me who can't read a darn book), it had some good tips, but if you really want to roll up your sleeves and tackle this, I am guessing there are more "serious" books out there.

I'm optimistic
I haven't gone through the whole book yet but so far everything is so helpful and makes a lot of sense. I feel a sense of validation just going through the pages and all the tips are backed up with facts and practical information. I'm so happy I got this book and I can't wait to go through all of it and apply the tips to my life.

What I was looking for!
This 2-book combo with is exactly what I need. Something to help me understand my recent diagnosis and the other to help me express what I’m going through. I only just started. From what I’ve skimmed, it looks like a book written for neurodivergent people. Lots of lists, well-spaced, and each chapter tackles every facet of life as a woman with adhd.

Awesome purchase for a young woman with ADHD
This book is cumulative knowledge and practical advice on how to improve your life substantially if you suffer from the negative consequences from an ADHD disorder. It’s easy to follow and has a workbook to really drill those new behaviours in your brain. In order to change you need to apply yourself; so, that’s why this book was the best option for someone like me. I want to become a better version of myself and not allow the disorder to deprive me of being happy. If you are someone who wants to learn better strategies to focus on how to apply yourself fully and efficiently, then this is the book for you!

A must if you are a woman and you have ADHD
This book is so insightful. What I love about it though is how it has loads of strategies on coping with different aspects of ADHD. I have been on a self discovery journey for a few years now after finding out both my children are on the spectrum and my daughter also has adhd. Learning how to navigate for my children has taught me so much about myself. I wish I had this book as a teenager but very little was known then about adhd. Highly recommend this book to women with adhd.

Very helpful
The way this was written was easy to follow, even with ADHD. The information wasn't presented in an overwhelming way and was quite engaging. I particularly liked the detail around RSD, the approach and sensitivity as well as the understanding this has on one's self esteem and life in general was validating. Not a topic I've seen approached with much detail in other texts.
