Snuggle the Baby: An Interactive Board Book

Great book!
My toddler LOVES this book. We had inherited a copy that was missing many pieces (the arms that go “so big”, the bottle, the baby’s face was pretty torn) and still it was an all time favorite so I sprung for a new copy. This one does appear different - the original has a more plush cover and the colors are a bit off (see photo - the one on the right came from Amazon). But contents are the same and a wonderful reading experience, highly recommend!

Perfect for a soon to be new siblings
This is a highly interactive book perfect for toddlers! It goes into the different ways you care for a baby like entertaining, feeding, soothing, and sleeping. This book is beloved in our household and has seen better days. The “soooo big” interactive raising hands have been ripped off and the milk bottle is missing, but despite the missing parts, our toddler requests this book on repeat and now tries the techniques on her sibling!

Very popular with little ones!
All 3 grandchildren (ages 2-5, boy and two girls) had fun with this book. Great concept, even if execution could use improvement. I agree the diaper page does not work well, but the removable baby and bottle and the tickle page and the "so big" arms were enough. Would love to see more products using this concept. I recommend a "peek a boo" page with a cloth that could be put over the baby's eyes then lifted, a dressing page with a snap or two to attach clothes, and a page where the baby could be put into a stroller and/or high chair.

Sweet adorable book! Lots of fun
I got this as a distraction toy for a 2 hour flight plus as something new and fun to read while we were on vacation. My 2 year old girl loved that the baby came out of the book and that she could hold and even pretend to feed it! As expected, she has ripped some of it (she sucks at not tearing up her books because, 2 year old lol) so I’ll probably have to buy it again someday but I don’t mind! This would be a great book to help teach a kiddo about becoming an older sibling to a new baby brother or sister!

Cute book
Very cute book! I bought it for my 4 year old who is about to be a big brother. I love that it's also an activity book. You can take the bottle out to feed the baby, and swaddle the baby. My son especially liked lifting the baby's short to tickle her tummy. (I made laughing sounds when he tickled her). I took off one star because of the diaper page. It's a one time use thing. It's was just weird. I put some fabric on the sticky part to lose some of its stickiness so the onesie can be "snapped" back again but Velcro would have been better. That page wasn't well thought out. But I would still recommend. It's very cute, and the illustrations are darling. I don't know why some are upset about the bottle. Most breastfed babies are giving bottles at times. That's why most of us pump. Not a big deal. if you are EBF, your child is seeing that in the home and that's what will leave an impression to normalize breastfeeding. A bottle in a book isn't going to change what s/he thinks is normal. Normal for them is whatever mommy does.

Sara Gilligham has done it again!!
This book is lovely. But I’m not surprised because It is by Sara Gilligham. I had feared that the removable pieces in this interactive book would get lost or damaged but my 2 year old daughter cherishes this book so much that the pieces are still holding up great and haven’t been lost though they have been thoroughly played with and even sucked on when I wasn’t looking. This book is perfect for a child preparing for a new sibling! I highly highly recommend it. And I mean, the color scheme?! It’s just perfect! If you don’t already love Sara Gilligham, you will after you get this book.

Great for first time big bro/sis
Bought this to help ease the transition from being an only child to a big brother. This is 1 out of 3 big brother books I bought and is the only one he asks for. Each page is interactive and simple enough for my 3 year old to do. He likes that he can lift some flaps, take a bottle to "feed" the baby and take the baby out to snuggle with. I feel that it does prepare him somewhat on what his big brother duties will be like as my little helper and what he can do with a new baby.

Perfect for our 2-year old who is struggling with the new baby
I bought this book on a complete whim and a prayer. Our 2.5 year old has really been struggling to adjust to life with our new baby. This book is wonderful!! It gives us something to discuss hands-on and then she can mimic/mirror with her baby from the book. She loves feeding the swaddled baby in the book. This is so perfect for a 2-2.5 year old. If I could get another bottle though, she kind of mangled it by chewing on it.This will become a routine gift for friends having a second child. Love it so much.
