Just what you’d expect from Babish
My son got this for me for my birthday because we watch his you tube channel. The book is great. Excellent recipes and a good variety. Love the stories as well

Babish is the GOAT. If you want to learn how to cook, experiment, or perfect classic dishes, buy this book. My cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen have improved tremendously.

Great cookbook!
Great recipe book with lots of hints to help you. Lots of pictures! Gave it as a gift and he loved it. May have to get me one.

The cook book for the rest of us
The cookbook is much like the show--and carries a lot of the same humor. He fairly assumes you're going to screw up a recipe at some point and offers a variety of common mistakes and how to fix them (or explanations of why it went wrong).

Not as "basic", still great
The recipes are great however I give four stars because (and maybe I misunderstood the title) it is not very "basic". Some recipes are very advanced and require special equipment. Definitely not a basic cooking book. And I mean, that is NOT bad, the book is amazing and the recipes look great, but you definitely need time, a lot of room in your kitchen and be a somewhat experienced cook.

Recipes are clearly explained and an in Index is provided to allow you to find Recipes in I Bought the book to find a pork Chop Recipe and I found it Easy to Follow. Instructions where Stated Clearly. The meal was Good. Thank You for Writing this Cookbook.

Beautiful, informative cookbook
Beautiful cookbook. Bought it for my son and he really likes it. I also copied out a few recipes when I was visiting. In addition to the recipes, a lot of good basic information on cooking. Highly recommend.
