Excellent dog bootees.
Excellent dog bootees. Pack of two. I find they are machine washable - just pick the fluff off the velcro afterwards. The dog isn't bothered by them at all, and although at first I was very nervous of doing them up tightly, this is ok, and the bootee stays on much better. Having the two velcro straps helps. The top is vented so your dog's paws will stay aerated better. Obviously if they are out in the rain then the bootee needs to come off ASAP so the paw (and bootee) can be dried. The tread wears fairly quickly out on the road, but for round the house it helps the dog have a non-slip base to her paw. This has proved to be VERY important with degenerative myelopathy. (Also called CDRM). I think these bootees have contributed to my dog having a longer, better quality of life, as her paws are keeping in good health despite her now dragging them.

Value for money, great quality, even my fussy little girl gets on with them.
The sizing is a little off on the chart so the first pair was 1 size too big for my dog's tiny feet, but the next size down was perfect. Make sure to buy boot liners to wear with them to prevent chafing! I bought the ruffwear boot liners which work perfectly if the shoe is the right size and done up tightly. I bought these for my partly disabled dog a couple of months ago to stop her cracking claws and scraping off the top of her feet in her wheelchair. They do a wonderful job, and in addition after she has been in her wheelchair she can walk for a short while around the house with these boots on, it does take time to get used to though and these are meant for outside walking so I don't recommend them for anything but occasional house use as they do interfere with her. They are pretty durable but I am buying shoe goo for our 2nd proper sized pair as she drags a little on one side, so I'm hoping it will lengthen the life at the front a little. If your boots slip off or twist around, try doing the straps up tighter, don't be afraid of this. If they still slip off you need a smaller size. Just don't forget the socks! These boots have helped change my little dogs life for the better, without them she cannot walk in her wheelchair .

nice style boots but not lasting long
I spotted these after I had first tried some others that were so large my dog couldn't put her foot down. These fit her perfectly as she has very slim legs due to muscle wastage although sizes would indicate she should be a larger size. They are a nice style and look like little trainers! It didn't take her long to get used to them. I bought first pair a few weeks ago and already the soles are quite worn down. my dogs problem is she is not picking up her back feet properly everytime but is still able to walk unsupported (without doggy cart etc) so is still able to manage a 20-30min slow walk and pottering round the garden. They do come off her sometimes when she's been walking in long grass on bumpy ground but I suspect thats cos she is not picking her feet up properly and the ends are catching on raised ground then dropping off where ground dips etc. .. although I fasten the velcro as tight as it will go. I think small would be too small to actually fit her paws into. I've just got a second pair as I got a voucher so she has a spare pair but at the rate she wears the soles down I might be needing a pair every month anyway! ... but its better that than the bottom of her paws sore and bleeding all the time and her being unable to come on walks. She had worn a back nail down to its quick and it split leaving a trail of blood everywhere. The boots are better than her having to have her back feet in bandage the whole time!

Watch out for the sizing as they come out small
I purchased these shoes to protect my border collie's front paw which had a small crack on one of the pads. Having measured the paw in question, I opted for the medium size (5.5 cm), which on the sizing chart in the product images also said it was suitable for border collies. Having received the product I can confirm that this was not the case sadly as they were definitely too small for my dog who, it is fair to say, is small for a border collie as well. They pinched his feet and he did have a limp whilst wearing the shoe (I should point out here that he is not in any pain from his paw and the shoe is a purely preventative measure). He does not limp without it on. Overall, the shoes themselves appear quite well made and are of a better quality than some. However, they are not waterproof in any way and so this is worth noting, and they are also not particularly ergonomically designed for a dog's paw, although some of this could be a result of them being too small. Sadly, I cannot return the product as we had to test them outside to see how he coped on different surfaces walking and running around as opposed to just walking round the house.

Great boots at a great price
I have a small (12.5kgs) working sheepdog with slender legs and feet. I ordered size Medium and they fitted perfectly! Excellent boots to protect a cut paw whilst it healed. The two velcro straps mean you can get it lovely and tight and it just doesn't move on a walk (on a variety of terrain - gravel, woodland, long grass and tarmac). My collie even did an agility class wearing his (when his foot was pretty much healed but I didn't want him to catch it on any of the contact points or woodchip in the arena). Nice to have two in the pack so one could dry post-walk and the other was ready for the next walk. A quality little boot for the money. Definitely recommended.

Great aid for injured dog
We purchased these shoes for our highly energetic Springerdor who was recovering from surgery having sliced his pad open. He’d had to have the pad stitched for a second time as the unprotected wound came open again once he started using it. We first tried the shoe with a child’s sock inside (as advised by the vet), but this didn’t work. The shoe would not stay on. With no sock and the Velcro straps nice and tight, our little boy happily kept the shoe on for a couple of weeks. The first week on the lead and the second running around as normal (like a mad thing). The shoe even had a nice little pad of tread on the bottom which stopped him slipping around. I would highly recommend them for any dog whose paws need protection. And on a side note; kids were amazed at our dog with a shoe on; they loved it.

Overall Frustrating Outdoors
The boots seem well made and look good, however after 3 days of testing put them into some use and a few issues appear. They go on easily however the second velcro strap ends up picking alot of debris when on a walk which is very difficult to clean off. They also move and twist more from the motion on the terrain, grass and or pathways. he is learning to pick his feet up more with them on as the font edge can cause a stumble. Eventually the boot will fall off, 400 metres is max. I got a look from my dog like, really you're putting it on again...They stay on long on his back feet however it is the front which need more support. When they stay on they do improve the walk comfort under his feet. So a mixed bag really, it is hard to love them as they do not stay on and for the price you would expect a real life test to prevent this. I have a retriever.

No allowance made for dog's heel - very short in leg
I needed a protective boot for the rear paw of a small Border Collie who had almost cut her main pad off. These boots have no heel shape or spare material where the dog's foot bends and so maximum strain is placed on the rear of the paw. The peculiar shape also shortens an already quite short leg part. For this boot to fit the rear paw of my dog she would need to walk on her tiptoes like a ballerina! Her rear paw measurements are: across 5cm, length 7.5cm. The overall external length of a medium boot is 12cm - 7.75cm padded foot area and 4.25cm for the 'leg' part. At its broadest the external foot measurement is 6cm. They seem to be well made but, in my opinion, need to be longer in the leg part and/or have a heel allowance.
