## Description

Liquid dye for all types of smooth leather, suede, nubuck and velvety leather. Penetrating formula based on alcohol, can be used as a base coat. Use to change a light colour into a darker one. All colours can be mixed together. Use the Colour Chart for help (see zoom). Prepare smooth leather before with Stripper Saphir. Remarks : -To obtain the colour you want, choose between 9 shades, 3 primary colours and 1 Lightening Base. - The color shades vary depending on the conditionings below ( 50 ml, 500 ml, 1 liter or 5 liters), - The Lightening Base has to be mixed before application. - Average quantities needed: . 50 ml for a pair of shoes, . 100 ml for a handbag, . 500 ml for a piece of clothing, . 300 ml/coat for a seat. Sometimes, two coats might be necessary. - For smooth leather: apply a finishing product afterwards to intensify the colour shade, add shine and to prevent colour discharge(see our advice cards below). - For suede, nubuck and velvety leather, apply Renovetine Saphir as a finish. - Apply with a Brush, with Cotton Wick or a spray-gun. - Attention: this dye is very colouring! Protect your hands with the Latex Gloves below! Clean the brushes with 99° alcohol ( Polish Thinner LOUIS XIII below) or the Stripper Saphir. - If your skin gets stained, clean with alcohol or acetone if the dye has dried. A: One big advantage of the Saphir Tincture Francaise line of colors is that you can mix them to achieve colors not available in shoes or other leather articles. In the case of shoes with smooth leather, you first use the Decapant. Then, give your shoes a color that distinguishes you from other 'brown or brownish' colors.

The 'Lightening Base' is used to turn ~for instance~ the Medium Brown 04 into an almost Khaki which goes very well with British Khaki trousers.

**Q: How many shoe pairs can you dye with one bottle?**
A: I used 2.5 bottles of the Saphir 62 Purple Base to dye brand new suede shoes purple: gray UGG slippers, red Charles Philip smoking slippers.

I used 2.5 bottles to dye 2 pairs of shoes.

**Q: Is this black dye?**
A: Yes, basically this is a leather dye. It can be used to treat the sides of leather soles, so that they look uniformly black (if you get the black dye). It can also touch up scratches in the shoe leather.
