Tested this out this morning, 18 Aug, after it arrived. It looks like it will be perfect for what I need. Now to find some time to route the wiring, and do a permanent install.UPDATE: Installation is complete, 20 Aug. It took a while, but it's done. Hardest part was finding a suitable access point through the firewall that wasn't covered by sound dampening material. I used the 12V accessory adapter rather than connecting it into the backup lights. This supplies constant power to the monitor and camera. Installation in this configuration requires running the camera wire from the truck cabin through the firewall back to the camera. The night vision works well, and the picture came up with the correct orientation, so I didn't have to flip, or mirror the screen. Going to use the adhesive pad to mount the monitor to the dash, as I just have it sitting there right now. I will say even though it isn't attached using the adhesive pad, it is still pretty stable. Since the truck is lifted, the camera sits high enough it isn't obstructed by the coupler, or trailer tool box. Definitely worth it.SECOND UPDATE: Out driving today, 22 Aug, and turned it on for an operational road test. Yep, it's awesome.
