New dolphin is a nice upgrade
We bought this dolphin when our previous device stopped working after 5 years. It arrived quickly. Setup was straightforward and it did our initial pool cleaning after opening (a big job) without difficulty (35k gallon, in-ground pool). When I returned the dolphin to the pool for the second round of cleaning, it didn't work at all and kept tripping the ground fault (GFI) on the outlet. I called Maytronic (not a long wait despite their warnings) and we quickly diagnosed the likely problem as a faulty power source for the dolphin (included in the initial package). They shipped a new power source, no charge, which arrived in 3 days and we are back to pool cleaning. I do prefer this to vacuuming by hand. Also, the new dolphin has a basket rather than the previous design of two filter "sandwiches" to collect the pool debris so it holds much more than the previous design, thus can run longer before being full. I'm sold on this device and the customer service. I do not use the WiFi as I'd rather let the dolphin run randomly since this is quite effective and I am old and not a techie. 😜 It does indeed climb the walls.

Horrible product, horrible support, CEO Franck Sogaard clearly needs to go
My experience with this company (dolphin / maytronics) has been terrible. I bought one of these robots brand new and within 2 weeks it stopped working correctly despite following all of their instructions on how to care for the robot. I reached out to their customer service teams on numerous occasions over the past several MONTHS. I have received NO RESPONSES to multiple emails to their company. I have called on several occasions, and had to give up on a vast majority of those due to having to hold FOR OVER 2 HOURS WITH NO ONE PICKING UP THE PHONE. The one time someone did pick up after a similar amount of hold time, they were so utterly incompetent that after over an hour speaking with the lady, I had to give up. My time has value and I'm not going to spend days of my life trying to get support for a product WHICH IS UNDER WARRANTY WITH THE COMPANY. Honestly, the level of 'blocking' I have experienced should be illegal when trying to get warranty care. Now, I was just going to accept my loss and never do business with this company again, but I just received what is possibly one of the most infuriating emails I've ever had. The Maytronics CEO, Franck Sogaard, thinks it is appropriate to acknowledge their horrendous customer support over the past year, NOT DO ANYTHING TO SUPPORT ME OR MY BROKEN ROBOT, and then offer a 'gesture of appreciation' to LET ME BUY MORE OF THEIR PRODUCTS FOR 10-15% off. LOL. Ok, Franck. I think we know what the problem is - YOU. Franck has time to send marketing emails disguised as apologies, and yet no one at the company can return months old emails. Maybe, Franck, you should do something actually useful and start answering customer emails yourself. To be clear, the CEO of this company just acknowledged that their customer service is horrible in areas including slow responses, delayed issue resolution, and slow parts delivery. Here is the exact email, which combined with the above information should allow you to make an informed decision not to do business with this company: " I’m reaching out personally to say something we should have said sooner: we’re truly sorry. Over the past year, many of you contacted our customer service team for help - whether it was to fix your Dolphin robot, get replacement parts, or simply ask a question. And too often, we didn’t meet your expectations. We were slow to respond, delayed in resolving issues, and at times, left you feeling unheard. That’s not the Dolphin experience we promise, and it’s certainly not the one you deserve. At Dolphin, we pride ourselves on delivering joy, simplicity, and reliability. Your pool should be a place of peace, not frustration. And yet, we know that for many of you, our service fell short. We let you down - and for that, I offer my deepest apologies. We’ve taken your feedback to heart. We’ve made changes to our support systems, invested in faster part delivery, and restructured our service teams to ensure that when you need us, we’re there. These improvements are already underway, and we’re committed to earning back your trust - one clean pool at a time. As a small gesture of appreciation for your patience, we’d like to offer you a one-time-use coupon code for your next purchase on Maytronics.com🔍 Simply enter your unique code at checkout, and your discount will apply automatically: 10% off orders under $500, or 15% off orders of $500 or more. This code is valid for six months and will expire on June 2, 2026. " You have been warned.

This thing sucks and that is awesome
I love the dolphin cc pro. I was a bit hesitant given the price as I already had a polaris 3 wheeler that did a good job with leaves but floated around on the surface alot. The cc pro never floats around, it is always on the pool floor cleaning. I also had a perpetual problem of a general layer of dirt from leaf debris etc in my pool, you know it when you sweep and see it. Could never get it all out. Dolphin cc pro got out ALL of the dirt and ither nasties as well as leaves. It is super easy to use and the app works well also. I highly suggest you buy the ultra fine filters that did not come with this unit. They are around $100 (I bought a generic brand) but those filters really keep the collected dirt in the unit. The one thing that is weird is that it is a bit random on its floor pattern. It gets up everything and cleans the waterline, but it only runs for 2 hrs and I am not sure it is getting all of the waterline each time. You can run it with back to back sessions but I don't think it remembers where it went before. Not a huge deal but one thing. Lastly, my controller stopped working in the first week. Called the company and within a few minutes, they were shipping me a new one. So great customer service.

A constant headache and continuous cost.
TLDR; First few months were ok and then it turned into a nightmare. All of the "connected" features a useless because according to the company, it can only be in the pool while it's cleaning and then must immediately be removed once it's finished. Apparently pool water and sun are bad for this cleaner. I completely regret purchasing this cleaner. -- Details -- The first few months of using the cleaner were nice. Setup was pretty easy though it did take a few attempts to connect to the cleaner to the WiFi but after that it worked well. Then I started to notice that the cable going to the cleaner was deteriorating. I had to start cleaning the cable regularly because it would release light-blue particles into the water. It got so bad that you could see floating blue particles all over my pool. It was the end of the pool season so I brought it into the garage and got blue all over myself and anything that the cleaner cable touched. When I contacted Maytronics they told me it was because the cable is made of rubber and it was in contact with chlorine and sun and that I had to keep the cleaner out of the pool and stored out of the sun. They suggested I buy the caddy. They made me pay to send it to them to have the cable repaired which they did do and it was out of season so I didn't mind not having it for a few weeks but I was pretty upset that I had to pay for shipping which was expensive. I already paid over a thousand dollars for the cleaner and now I had to pay more to send it in for repairs after just a single 5 month season. Well, I got the cleaner back and now the app will not connect to it at all. Even worse, the app just sits there like it's loading but does nothing anymore. I've tried multiple android devices and iOS devices and nothing connects to the cleaner. For the most part, the cleaner now sits in the corner of my yard out of the sun which is super inconvenient so I don't use it as often and it's constantly trying to run a schedule which is pointless for a pool cleaner that is so sensitive to water that it can only be in the pool while it's cleaning it. What a lame product. A WARNING to anyone attempting to connect the cleaner to a WiFi network. The instructions state that the network MUST BE 2.4Ghz ONLY and not include 5.0Ghz. Now days most WiFi networks that have both wavelengths and apparently this thing is not compatible with that.

Cleans the floor well and easy to clean the filter
Been using it for about a year now. I like the fact that the line does not tangle up while the robot is in there cleaning. It does climb walls but doesn't have as much suction power as when it's cleaning the floor. Sometimes it will tilt backwards. The filters really easy to clean, just dump the leaves and spray the smaller particles off. What I don't like about it is that while cleaning, sometimes it will flip on its back and cannot flip over to finish the cycle. It happened many times already so not an isolated incident. It is a good bot, my friend's lasted only 2 years, hopefully mine will last longer than that

Wish I could leave a great review but 1 star is still too much!!!!
We received our cleaner on Sept 5, used it for 1-3 cycles per day, always in the evening so that the body wouldn’t be exposed to too much sunlight to keep it looking nice. We pulled it out of the water in the early am and kept it in the shade during the day. On Sept 14 unbeknownst to us, it failed to complete the cycle. The next morn (Friday) I started it again just to have it not complete the cycle again and when my husband came home from work, we did the troubleshooting that the manual recommended but could not contact Maytronics customer service as it was after hours. On Monday, Sept 18, I spoke to a rep at Maytronics and after assuring her that we HAD ALREADY done the troubleshooting, she looked at the history (I had set up an account via wifi so that I could operate the unit that we named “Flipper” remotely) and determined that the impeller motor had failed in some way. She informed me that I would have to box it up ( we had luckily saved the original box and packaging) and I would have to drop it off to FedEx to return it to Georgia for warranty repair. After evicting our old Pentair Prowler 930 from the box, I took it that very morning. I had been assured by the customer service rep that the turnaround would be very quick, approximately 10 business days and sometimes sooner. They received Flipper on Wed, Sept 20 at 10:53a according to tracking. On 9/22, I received an email from Maytronics asking me to fill out a survey for feedback stating that “Your (not my typo) recently sent your Nautilus CC Pro robot for a repair and it should be back in the pool by now”. SERIOUSLY?!!! We’ve contacted customer service (no small feat) a couple of times now and after being misdirected to the wrong service location, was told it could be expedited, they keep extending their estimate on turnaround and, as yet, they have no updates for when we will get our pool cleaner back. We called again yesterday (Oct 6) to check on progress, still no news except that they have a lot of customers and many repairs (there’s an endorsement!) and that it will (now) take 2-4 weeks!!! We even mentioned to the rep. that the service department has now had it longer that we did ourselves!! I purchased this based on reviews, our own experience with a Maytronics product thru Pentair and because after nearly 4 seasons, our Prowler had stopped working. We close our pool on 10/23 and I certainly hope we will have our cleaner back in time to not only get the pool clean but to verify that it truly has been repaired. Oct 6 was our deadline to return it and perhaps if I had known before I had sent it off to Maytronics to be repaired, that it would take this long, I would have eaten the return costs and sent it back to the seller instead and ordered something else!!. I would have at least had a pool cleaner working in my pool a lot sooner than now! Hey Maytronics!!!…I’ll be happy to update my review in the future because for the first 9 days, it operated wonderfully but for what I purchased Flipper for, so far, it has cost $129.43 w/tx per day to operate and no one would consider that a very good deal!!! ***update**** Shortly after leaving the above review, I was emailed by Tamara B. at Maytronics that my robot had been evaluated and would be repaired the next day (10/10) then returned to us within 24-48 hours. We had it back in the pool later in the week and it worked well until the day we closed our pool. Hopefully, we’ll get many years of use from our Flipper!!! It’s too bad that it took a bad review to get action on our case but thank you Tamara, for your info and action!!
