We just got a water2 filter for our kitchen and wanted something pure that wasn't going to seep any harmful chemicals into the water and this is perfect. Don’t order . Bought it and didn’t use straight away . Returns window closed . Now weathers bit nicer and wanted to take out on a long dog walk , tried to unscrew lid and it’s completely welded shut . Also it’s not copper , just thinly coated . Discovered this when trying to force it open . The thin ‘layer’ which is no more than a coat of paint thickness started peeling off . Total rip off

The size is great, it feels fairly durable but the main issue is that the top is too big which means you will get wet from water spilling out from the sides of your mouth

Is it really copper? Water tastes very bad

Awesome. Beautiful and doesn't leak as many similar copper water bottles do. The metal did grind a bit when closing it but it was an easy fix, I just removed the rubber seal ring and put the lid in my toaster oven for a minute, then rubbed a stick of beeswax around the threads to coat them. Worked like a charm. The outside of it must be treated with something as it appears to be slightly brassier in color and doesn't tarnish at all. The inside is definitely pure copper though. Saw a few reviews mentioning they were surprised/displeased with it tarnishing, that's just copper for you though and proves its authenticity. It's necessary to clean it regularly to ensure you get the benefits to the water. I use a mixture of vinegar and salt, swish it around inside the bottle, pour it out over the cap, and voila, good as new. Once in a while you can clean the outside with the same mixture, as I said the outside of this one doesn't tarnish but still a good idea. With other vessels that are entirely pure copper you'll want to do the outside every time you clean it of course, a natural soft brissle brush will come in handy. Don't use soap or anything like that and don't scrub hard as the salt can scratch the metal. Anyway, extremely pleased with it. No complaints at all despite the lid grinding a bit, slight imperfections are normal and to be expected with handmade items. Would 100% buy again, though I likely won't have to as it looks like it will last a lifetime!

I absolutely love my new hammered copper water canteen. I hadn't had one in about 3 years this one is actually better design than my first one. I really appreciate the design as well as the nice eco bag that accompanies. Easy twist cap that has a durable silicone based ring around it so it stays sealed and doesn't get metal caught in its ridges making its it easy twist open/close snugly. Very good for if you're hiking, traveling, or just out & about. it's a perfect water canteen very low maintenance in terms of cleanin. Just a simple solution of warm vinegar water, or salt/lemon juice hot water solution and it cleans it right out. Very, very efficient and hope to enjoy many years with this beautiful item.
