I only wanted the grip around the outside and back of the controller, and I didnt need all 4 sections of the grip sent. Its amazing whole well this product works. The white grip that came stock was starting to come loose underneath and I wanted to cover it up as it was a distraction and started cracking a bit. That's why I tried the slip on cover style first. While the slip on did completely hide the worn pads, it was a menace to the true beauty and design of this premium controller. These go on easy and quick and stay put! They give an unbelievable new grip and mostly covered my worn grips. The installation process is easy however its very difficult to line up perfectly to your remote. It fits about 80% perfect. Some areas do stick up and don't go down but not a big deal for me. At first the cover feels stiff and has a strong plastic smell. But sort of like leather the cover gets better over time. The cover starts to soften up, the plastic smell goes away. Not completely but noticeably different. My one big complaint is that it does get in the way of disassembling your remote. So if you plan to never take your remote apart this is perfect. But if your like me and like to take everything apart this product will interfere. And once the cover is removed you might as well throw it away. The adhesive doesn't stick the same. But overall good product.
