Omg, this thing is amazing. I got this for my PS2 slim. I had a different converter that hooked up to the AV cables - it made some games particularly dark. Like unplayably dark. Not with this one though. I would even argue that it makes the image more crisp (still ps2 graphics though so polygons ahoy). The audio sounds great so far and I haven't noticed any of the flickering other reviews mentioned. Played my notoriously dark Evil Dead game for about an hour now. It's cheap, easy to set up, and doesnt have any latency thus far. I'll update this review if it gives out on me or quality changes.

With the original PS the picture was a little blocky, but that is not the fault of the adapter. It is the low output resolution on the PS. With the PS2 the picture was much better and I had no issues with the audio quality at all. The cables all fit snug with that lovely snap in feel on the PS side. Super easy to use and self explanatory. I love the scaling and resolution selection as well, offering a Have it your way experience. Seems like it will hold up for a long time. It was compatible with my PS OG, PSone, PS2 Fat, and PS2 slim. All looked crispy compared to the analog upscaling on the TV. I did not test with high end upscale devices from Onkyo and Denon.

it works for what it is, however its not compatable with my an Mclassic, the visuals work but the audio does not, its a good cheap HDMI adapter, but that's all it is, I bought it to work with my Mclassic but it's not playable with it, I wish it had an audio jack to help with the audio but its a decent ps2 to HMDI adapter for the price

I’m so happy with this! I have a 85” Samsung TV with a Samsung Soundbar and I have been wanting to play some PS2! My Slim PS2 has been sitting on my fireplace collecting dust for a few years now. Yesterday I hopped on Amazon to see if I can find something to take the place of the red, white and yellow cables since my TV doesn’t supports such old technology. I stumbled across this. While reading some of the reviews and doing a little digging, I thought it’s only 15 bucks, if it doesn’t work, I’ll send it back. I was beyond excited when Amazon ran this morning, kinda like a kid on Christmas. I brought the package in and hooked it up. The sweet sounds of the iconic PlayStation 2 start up was music to my ears. It works and looks great. There’s 2 options, wide screen & 720, I obviously went with the 720 but did check out the widescreen option, both look great. Sound is the good old “Dolby Digital”. Haven’t heard any “cracks” in the sound, the video quality look great. The switcher is made with cheaper materials, keep it away from items that produce heat, I probably wouldn’t breathe on it too much, it’s cheap plastic but it does exactly what I need it to do. If it needs a cold ice pack, to keep it cool, then a cold ice pack my HDMI switch will receive.

This item is great I want to play my old school ps2 games on my new Roku 4k tv and I had a little trouble connecting it but all in needed was a another hdmi cord and so I had another one and it connected so far perfect quality perfect sound and perfect picture and it is compatible to an upgrade tv

The device worked without issue. It's a great option if your TV does not have an rca jack and you want play ps2 games.

I unplugged an HDMI cable from it once and the mental connector in the hole came out and refused to go back in. One time use for me.

Great product for the price. The option to select aspect ratios is nice. I did find some color bleeding with it, but it's a budget adapter, so you get what you pay for. If you're just looking to get the job done at a low price, it works great. If you're look for high image accuracy then spend more.

Ha funcionado perfectamente con mi antigua PS2 Slim y una tele TCL c655. La resolución es baja, pero es que eso es lo que da la ps2. Aún así el modo 720p que tiene el cacharro parece mejorar un poco la imagen y la borrosidad de los bordes, sin hacer maravillas. Es muy buen producto para quien quiere jugar a una antigua ps2 en una tv moderna con sus gráficos propios, pero sin esperar magia. Por lo visto hay otros cacharros que hacen su propio upscaling y mejoran bastante la imagen, pero son bastante más caros y en mi caso no merecía la inversión. NOTA: cuando el dispositivo está enchufado por usb de carga (necesario para que funcione) está "funcionando" y dando señal hdmi aunque la ps2 esté apagada. No es que pase nada, pero algo se calienta y algo de energía gasta. Así que si no se va a usar en X tiempo y se quiere ahorrar eso mejor desconectar el usb de carga.
