The provided screwdriver worked by applying a lot of pressure to the head. The extra screws are handy, dropped one and it went into the abyss. A little softer would be nice, but the other reviews say that it softens. It isn't too bad though. The distance away seems fine. Unlike some others, I can still see all of the display. All and all, I am pleased. Main reason is that it blocks all exterior light from your vision when looking through the viewfinder. It does that well. ## Features - Ideal viewfinder eyecup eyepiece for Canon EOS R8 RP Mirrorless Digital Camera, it is upgraded on the basis of the original eyepiece, extended long Design which is more suitable for your eyes - Please don't worry that this eyeshade will block the LCD camera screen. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits EOS RP as advertised, does its job *by W***L on August 2, 2026* Fits my Canon EOS RP as advertised. Secured using two small screws on the underside (and comes with extra screws and a screwdriver). The eyecup does a good job sealing against my eye (way better than the original eyepiece), so long as I really press my face up to the back of the camera. The material is pliant but feels durable. The manufacturer probably has a decent profit margin at this price, but considering OEM prices (and the lack of an OEM extended eyecup), I'd buy it again. ## Frequently Bought Together - EOS R8 RP Eyecup Eyepiece，Soft Silicon Extended Camera Eye Cup Viewfinder Special Designed for Canon EOS R8 RP Mirrorless Digital Camera - ULBTER Screen Protector for Canon EOS R50 EOS R8 EOSR50 Camera 9H Tempered Glass Edge to Edge Protection,Anti-Scrach Anti-Fingerprint Anti-Bubble [3 Pack] - SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I Memory Card - C10, U3, V30, 4K UHD, SD Card - SDSDXXD-128G-GN4IN --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/506323059-extended-eos-r8-rp-eyecup-eyepiece-viewfinder-soft-silicon-camera](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/506323059-extended-eos-r8-rp-eyecup-eyepiece-viewfinder-soft-silicon-camera) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
