Zanussi Freezer Ice Scraper

I didn't realise bashing away at frost and ice build up could be so fun but here we are. This ice scraper works wonders and despite being plastic, feels flipping sturdy enough to sit in Michelangelo's sculpting toolbox. The only thing that irks me is that there seems to be a protruding edge at the top of the handle that is rather sharp. Obviously has its purpose, which I haven't quite figured out but the placement of it means that sometimes, when you're really trying to get some oomph behind the ice bashing and your thumb goes over the top, the impact of bashing said ice drives that edge into your thumb which isn't so fun. I'm sure you could file it down if it really mattered but then again, how often do you have to bash ice?

Scrapped the excess ice off from my freezer. Good sturdy product & hopefully will do the job for a few years!

This excellent little scraper was bought to use on a table top fridge with a tiny ice box. I used it after using freezer de icer spray and the combination was perfect. The scraper just got in there and lifted the ice off with ease. Where I could not spray the scraper finished the job. Sturdy plastic and tackled the iceberg beautifully.

A cheap ice scraper. Does the job and I like the design but expect to have to replace it regularly as the corners of the "blade" break off in use leaving sharp edges. To date I have bought five, and the first four have all done this.

An excellent item to have when sorting out your freezer, so strong, with a really good grip to hold.

I was pleased that I could use this scraper without worrying about breaking or scratching my freezer compartment, because it's just a bit of plastic... unfortunately, the scraper did break, snapping off the corners of the free edge, but my freezer was seriously packed solid with ice, and I suspect that ANYTHING would have broken under that amount of stress. The handle is a little uncomfortable, because basically it's just an extension of the scraper end, which is a bit of shaped plastic, and the back is a bit sharp-edged. However, adding an ergonomically better handle would increase the price considerably, and since this was just for scraping out my freezer, I wasn't too bothered. Hopefully I won't let the ice get to this state again.

Good for purpose. Yet to use it but should do the job at a good price
