Kuretake : Gansai Tambi Japanese Watercolour : Gold : Large Pan

It’s Kuretake…what more do I need to say! I love my Kuretake paints and this individual pan is no different. The paint activates very quickly, is creamy and provides a great gold, semi-opaque coating. Layer it to be more opaque, water it down for just a shimmer.

This is a winner! Perfect shade of gold. I will definitely use this often.

I ordered this little paint when I was looking for a gold paint for just a little money and I am thrilled with it. Creamy and easy to use, I was completely surprised with the quality of the paint, either sheer or opaque, it performed beautifully. The pan is large and quite full and I was so impressed with how it performed, that I ordered a whole set of 36 gorgeous colors. I will most definitely order these paints again.

My wife really liked how much gold paint came in this pan and the color, very good quality and worth the money.

I bought this for some highlights for painting. It is not a sharp bright gold color but subtle if you don’t require a colourful shinny effect. It basically only shines which under lights. It’s easy to use. Kuretake is a very reliable water color brand. This is a big pan size, a little ore than 3 x half pan.

Should have read description better. This gold, not shiny reflective shimmery bright gold. Just plain flat medium gold watercolor.

The paint is highly pigmented and a little goes a really long way. I've just used it to paint over a dark blue area of watercolour and it covered easily. The pan is large 45mm x 25mm and appears to be quite deep too so will last me a really long time. I am looking forward to experimenting with it by mixing with other colours. Delivery took 3 weeks, but it has come from Japan so I don't think that was unreasonable.

I was skeptical that a watercolour can actually look gold and reflective, but this stuff is amazing! Performs just like normal watercolour, but as to be expected, the effect is not as strong if diluted too much.
