be quiet! Pure Rock Low Profile AMD and Intel CPU Cooler, 100W TDP

I was addressing the fan noise from my "daily driver" PC. It had an old Intel stock fan (that came with my 1151 CPU) that has been running at full speed and making lots of noise. I was able to install without removing the motherboard, although this was a challenge. I 'think' the Intel fan mounting holes are supposed to be a square pattern, but I had a lot of trouble mounting this until I turned it 90 degrees and tried again. It is a super quiet fan, and it runs much slower than the fan it replaced. Overall, I am satisfied and would purchase another one in the future.

I have an ITX-Mini industrial type all-in one ultra-slim open air mesh frame chassis & motherboard with an i7-4790S cpu, that has been a beast to tame workload heat, in this smallest of form-factor chassis, in an open to the elements temperature environment, and much to much dismay, and satisfaction, the Be Quite! Pure Rock LP finally solved my CPU heat throttling problems. The original OEM installed CPU cooler was essentially the basic original Intel aluminum lug & fin, topped with a fan, reference CPU cooler, but cut down to very low 37+mm profile to fit in an ultra-slim desktop chassis. Searching for better replacements I found the Noctua NH-L9i cooler was a few mm's tool tall to fit in the chassis, and that it had height tolerances problems in the CPU clearance zone underneath the CPU cooler. An ARCTIC Alpine 12 LP did fit the clearance issues, and had lower noise, and power use; however still being based on an aluminum lug & fin design, (no heat pipes), still was not able to keep up with sustained temperatures, under even moderate loads. When Be Quite announced their new LP cooler and that it was a copper heat pipe design, fit into the most minimal/maximal dimensions limits allowed for CPU cooler tolerance zones, and could tame even newer generation CPU's, I was skeptical. But as a still last ditch resort to keep a workhorse computer thermally tamed, I decided to purchase one, give a try, with the clearance issues, see if I could even get it installed, and if it could improve on the Alpine LP. Mission successful !!! The install was razor shave close cut; not even micro-micrometers to spare in clearance tolerance all the way around, after mounting; from the top of the fan just barely touching the chassis cover, and with the CPU cold plate fit and around & underneath the cooler; including the cooler and mounting bracket just barely fit over a row of power capacitors sitting just below the bracket. The mounting certainly is "flexible" but this turned out to be a benefit, after getting the mounting brackets and screws tightened into place. The bracket installation wrench provided & needed to tighten the CPU mounting bolts, (not the mounting screws), had some difficulty getting around tight part clearances, that were right up and into the CPU cooler clearance zone, but I was able to work the wrench enough to secure the mounting bolts to the brackets; then tighten the mounting screws. After turning the system back on, immediately I noticed a 10-20 deg F. reduction, as compared to typical temps with the Alpine LP. And even with now spring summer temperatures coming on, and the ability to cool the cpu is being impacted by increase in ambient air temps, the Be Quit! LP has continued to maintain the heat dissipation, through all load testing; most notably that CPU is staying below throttle temperatures where; the OEM installed could never do, and Alpine LP could barely keep up with! Additionally noticed is that the noise level was way down, even at full RPM the Be Quit! Any fan noise had a slight low hum winy noise, but only noticeable at maximum RPM. Overall, this CPU cooler solved a long and ongoing cooling problem in a very minimalist chassis install, and it does it with no no high speed fans, or related added noise.

Used it for 2 months now, and even in a room that approaches 80 degrees in the summer my processor stays below 40c. I removed the stock paste with some alcohol since I had no idea how long it had been there, and used some MX-6 for peace of mind. Fan is dead silent and handles some heavy work loads before it reaches even a whisper. It has made me a convert from the other brands that prioritize quiet running.

So far it’s working great! Very quiet (maybe more so than the Noctua one next to it), great price, and came with all the right hardware. The reason I chose 4/5 stars is because I think the documentation could have been better. I’m not a fan of oversimplified instructions and ran into some issues because there was so little information included. Like, how the Intel brackets can actually be set to 2 different positions. But the instructions don’t say that, which is how I ended up using ChatGPT for the first time in order to figure out why they weren’t aligning with the holes in my motherboard. Like I said, it’s a great product and if you’re looking for something extremely quiet without paying the premium that usually comes with it this is a great choice! But I think they could include more information with the included documentation.

I dropped this into a new system a few months ago and it is quiet! I'm a minimalist PC guy, no flashy rgb or light up anything, and this ps fits the bill. Quiet, and powerful.

I’m giving this product five stars as I was happy with the installation process, and the size for the value was unmatched. I have a very power hungry i7 chip, and even with new MX-4 filament, I was pushing 70C at idle and 100C at load. This is without an overclock and with multiple reapplications and remounts. Decided this wasn’t the fit for my situation and upgraded to the 280 water cooler be quiet offers, and have been happy (and ice cold) since. I’m happy with this purchase enough that I am keeping it for a smaller, less power intensive build!

Low profile works great with a i7 14700K with a lower power limit.

I really appreciate this. I needed a cooler for a random processor I had in a bin. I have migraines and need as much quiet as possible. This does it! The price is worth it! The plastic is also notably higher quality, as well as the cardboard and materials of the packaging. This brand is luxury at an affordable price.

Ottima, bassissimo profilo e ultra silenziosa. Performance ottime

Super easy installation. Very minimalistic look too.
