A worthwhile replacement to predecessors however, many of the other replacements are VERY poor compared to these ones. Will definitely use again.

TLDR: neither sturdy nor durable, four of ten boxes defective, priced at a premium, not good value for money. Expect to have to tape them together from the start. For the price, roughly double more 'basic' design, I really expected more from what is the 'go to' brand in this product category. The positives ... the crash lock design makes it easy to pop a box open and (in theory) have it ready for whatever you wish to store. And, the boxes (with the white cardboard, blue and black accents) look much nicer than plain cardboard alternatives. Yet, these two positives are both directly negated by the negatives. The negatives ... the crash-lock design relies on glue to hold the panels that make up the bottom of the box together. The glue (be it the adhesive or the very limited amount used) failed on 4 of 10 boxes. So, instead of a crash-lock convenience. you are at risk of your storage crashing through the bottom of the box. This is an appalling defect. Expect to have to reinforce these boxes either with hot glue (from a glue gun) and/ or tape. Now, having to re-engineer these bones makes them *less* (not more) convenient than other basic designs (be they taped or fold-overs). ... Not everyone has a glue gun to hand, so by the time these are taped together at the bottom, expect these to *not* look better than alternatives. Neutral: the quality of the cardboard is reasonable. There are products that use a more flimsy stock. All in all, a very disappointing product. Still, 'OCD' might drive me to get more so that file storage are looks better. Crazy, right? And, other Bankers Box lines remain worth considering. But, not so much this one.

Pretty good but the cardboard softens too easily causing boxes to lose their shape and stability. Not as good as some from same brand which far outlast these for just a little more money

These boxes are ridiculously easy to assemble and require no sellotape. Just wish they made larger versions. The box quality is superb and they would probably last for years.

I have had a couple of the old design of these boxes for decades and they are still going strong so was very disappointed with these. They have changed the design to make them easier to assemble but have lost a lot in the process. The base needs only to be pulled across a rough surface to completely disintegrate because the base has perforated flaps which catch and pull the whole base open. Useless! I have taped them all up with packing tape to make them usable but they now look awful and I don't know how long this will last in use. One of the things I liked about these boxes was that they look nice for home use but not now they are festooned with brown packing tape! I should think there are much better boxes on the market for the money.

These boxes certainly are easy and quick to assemble, BUT the cardboard is soft and the handles will easily tear, unless handled with more care than can be expected from the average remover. The quick assembly design means that the box lacks diagonal rigidity, while the bottom of the box has lines of perforation which will tear if subject to the resulting strain, and overlapping flaps which will catch and tear if the bottom is slid along any uneven surface. The old style Fellowes R-kive boxes were very strong and rigid. I have some that are nearly 20 years old and have survived at least eight episodes of packing, stacking, moving and unpacking, not to mention assembly and disassembly. Most of these new ones are done in after just one move, and worse still, on some, the bottom has completely given way. Verdict: not fit for anything like heavy duty, and neither classic nor premium in design or material.

We have four two drawer filing cabinets to move by hand in order to relay carpet. These boxes allowed us to empty them and move the steel cabinets. Once the job had been done the cabinets went back and were refilled from the archive boxes. good job. Archive boxes now back in their box for the next task.

Die Kartons sind ziemlich stabil, auch für schwere Bücher geeignet wenn sie hauptsächlich zur Lagerung bestimmt sind. Durch die einklappbaren Laschen an den Eingrifflöchern sitzt der Deckel fest und der Karton lässt sich gut tragen. Nachtrag: Die Deckel gehen sehr leicht kaputt (reißen an den Laschen ein) wenn man öfters damit hantiert. Nur zur dauerhaften Lagerung geeignet, nicht zum täglichen Gebrauch (außer bei Befüllung mit sehr leichten Gegenständen / wenn die Boxen nur halbvoll sind).
