Great for camping
My friend showed me his Bogasing M5 working with portable player which is how I use mine, I was impressed enough to buy one that same evening. For camping this is excellent, it throws out a good sound, is waterproof and has a great quality feel to it. It's small and portable and does not look capable of producing the quality of sound it does. It's good enough to fill a garage, shed or small room without distorting or becoming un-listenable. I used it with a portable Wav/Mp3 player, both were powered on their own and lasted for 3 nights continuous 4hrs at a time without charging again. Haven't tried it with an SD card. Charging is a snip with USB type C. Sound quality is good for something this size. Comes with everything you need to get it connected. Well worth the money.

Excellent quality and highly recommended
Great price and really good sound. Easy connection and the charge lasts for ages. Really good piece of kit for a budget price.

Outstanding sound.
Wow! I had no idea this little speaker would sound this good. I cannot comment on battery life just yet but I will update later. The sound quality is just phenomenal for such a small footprint (size of your average mobile phone). I've purchased this for my workplace where it will sit alongside a very noisy machine. I need it to be loud enough to get over the noise of the machine. I'm hopeful but won't know for sure until I've tried it. Again, I will update. Love the styling and the fact that it looks the same in both sides and indeed fires the sound to both ends. Great fully rubberised casing and minimal but functional controls. I'm still not over how great it sounds. Perfect for home use, and hopefully for work use too. Recommended. Update. Battery life was pretty much as advertised. I have to use on full volume due to my workplace so others may get more life than I did. Sadly not quite loud enough for my needs but it is still (just about) audible over a very loud machine. I'll be keeping it for home use as it sounds so good and investing in another speaker for work. I still recommend this great little speaker.

Best Speaker for the Price
After wanting a portable speaker with an aux to use for my PC, i first went with the soundcore boost , great bass and sound but no aux and i discovered that majority of small Bluetooth speakers have video latency which makes it unusable for video or gaming ie the Audio comes after the lips have moved, i then increased my budget to the motion+ after seeing great reviews however i found that the bass was lacking and it looked overly large with an outdated style i also discovered it was common to have a terrible hiss when no audio was playing so i also returned that, after numerous searches i came accross this speaker which looks a lot like the Marshall Emberton II which is a great looking speaker, i can confirm that this has hit the sweetspot, no video or gaming audio latency/lag through Bluetooth or aux and sounds great, its loud, crisp has great bass - perfect A big tip for everyone who buys it you get the best sound quality - -Play through aux (Bluetooth is about 90% of the quality so depends on preference) -Remove the front/back covers (also gives it a more retro speaker look whilst getting more clear audio) -Use an EQ app on your phone or PC , i have attached my settings if anyone wants to replicate them adds much more clarity and slightly boosts the frequencies where it lacks my unit does have a very faint hiss which i know is common among majority of speakers but who doesnt like silence if they are not playing any audio but it is much less noticeable compared to the motion+ so it perfectly usable and isnt distracting, im planning to get a second unit so i can place them both either side of my monitor vertical so i will report back if the hiss is also on the second unit and is common, if not i may replace this first unit if so. Update - the second unit does have the same hiss so is very common but perfectly fine to my ears however using a pair of these in Bluetooth is a no go for gaming or video watching as it greatly increases the latency although when using 2 over aux doesn't have this problem

Packs a punch with more than enough great sound for general use.
HEADLINE: This is neither the smallest or biggest portable speaker but it packs a punch with more than enough great sound for general use. Outdoors in a suburban garden on max volume (15, no it does not distort) it is uncomfortable to be within 2m of the unit, sounds great at 10-12m. Since this speaker is portable here is a way to judge its size and weight before you buy. The unit is roughly the size of a pound of butter but about an inch longer. It also weighs 600g/1lb5oz or 30% more than the butter. The plastics case has a rubberized surface so it won't slip out of your hands unless you've been handling the butter by mistake :) I bought this unit in July 2024, there may be variance from my unit and any past or future unit. My unit was well presented and seems identical to the unboxing videos by other reviewers. The unit was supplied with an almost full charge. To get the unit working I popped a microSD card into the slot, turned on, and pressed mode. It immediately chimed (not too loud) and began playing my tunes. Having built an number of speakers in the distant past I was skeptical on what could come out of such a small box. I'm completely blown away, the sound is similar to good bookshelf speakers, a very satisfying and balanced sound, the sub-bass (less than 60Hz) is lacking, but everything else seems to be there. 95% of the population won't realize the difference. There are actually 16 volume levels. Given the small size a lot of the 40W will be soaked up by bass production. In a domestic environment I find 5 more than enough if you count (0=mute to 15=loudest, see above about level 15). For file playback (microSD or USB stick) I tested FLAC, MP3 and WAV. * Maximum sample rate is 48kHz (Tested 44.1kHz , 48kHz, 88.1kHz and 96kHz FLAC) * Maximum bit depth is 16bits (Tested 16 and 24bit FLAC and WAV) * MP3 CBR (Tested 320k and 192k) and VBR (Tested High and Medium) Battery life seems good, after 6 hours of play I'd lost one of the 4 power LEDs. Indoors I prefer to stand the unit on end and not flat on the raised feet. Maybe outdoors the feet would save the case from scratches. There are a couple of small niggles... * While up to 128GB cards are supported there is no way to skip folders, so you need to click next or back a lot of times if you want to get to a particular track. * Many of my USB sticks cannot be properly inserted because the housing interferes. Using a nano stick or a USBA-M to USBA-F adapter solves that.

Excellent quality speaker
I was looking for an upgrade on my smaller bluetooth speaker, that wouldn't cost a fortune. After reading many reviews I chanced on the Bogasing M5, and it really is a very good speaker for the money. Build quality seems very good, with a rubberised outer layer, and tough speaker grilles. The connectivity is one aspect that drew me to the M5. I use an old iPod and needed a speaker with an aux socket. This has aux in, TF card slot and USB socket. I have not tried synching it with bluetooth so cannot comment on that. But aux in sounds great. Standing the speaker up gives a decent 'stereo' effect from the drivers on either side of the speaker. Controls work well, though being black on black they're no alway easy to see. Battery life excellent so far, with good 4 LED indicator. And the sound? Very good. There is enough volume and the three audio presets offer enough versatility for my needs. As a bass player I like bass, and this speaker delivers enough bass without it becoming too dominant. Overall I am very pleased with the M5. It does everything I wanted it to, without having spent a fortune.

Amazing at a good price
One of the selling points for me was the inputs. Mainly the Aux because I use older tech without Bluetooth. The sound quality for me has perfect balance across bass and treble. I like how you have speakers on both sides and as a side note I use it standing upright and I'm not sure why it doesn't have standing feets to do this, I stuck a grip pad on mine. It's very smart looking and is well built. At some point I may buy one more to link together which the manual says is possible. I don't test battery charging/usage times because life's to short - Let's just play the music. Would recommend.

Best portable practice amp for guitar....
This review is aimed at guitarists. Tested loads of these. The brief was the speaker had to have an AUX input that would take the output from a guitar processor, and be compact enough to fit in a travel bag. I originally started with a dedicated guitar practice amp, the Spark Go, but I wanted a drum machine & looper to practice with which the Spark was lacking. Then went for the Mooer 05i. Although this sounded good and did everything I wanted (drums/looper), it had no headphone output and was an awkward shape to pack. I then changed course & abandoned the dedicated guitar travel amps. Instead went for a separate mini guitar processor, in this case the Mooer Prime P1 which had everything wanted built in, was tiny, and had a headphone out. Now I just needed a something to amplify it! After much testing, I narrowed it down to 2 units...the Tribit Xsound Plus 2 and the Bogasing M5. I also tried the Bogasing M6, but this lacked the definition of the M5. I wanted to love the Tribit. No doubt music files sounded the best through it, and if this is what you want the speaker for, I would recommend it without hesitation. Cymbals shimmered, bass thumped and the mids had a clarity & definition none of the other speakers I tried could match. But when I plugged a guitar into it, the heavy DSP processing this unit had took over. If I wanted to play along with a backing track, Tribit would compress the volume of the guitar and ruin the tone. If I engaged the drum machine and played guitar at the same time, again, the guitar would compress. Switching to the M5, I noticed the processing was gentler, & no such annomalies would occur. The volume & tone of the guitar would be retained whilst playing along with backing tracks & drums. As a guitar practice amp, I would suggest the M5 to be the better than the Tribit with less severe processing. For this application, I chose the M5. Hope other guitarists looking for a travelling practice amp will find this useful!

Outstanding buy
This is a great little sound box, very good speaker sounds, and capable of playing bluetooth off your phone, or TF card, or USB and comes with a cord to hook up a mp3 player or audio unit. Easy to switch between modes. The manual has pretty small print, but the unit is fairly straight forward. Battery life looks to be excellent. Recommend.

Powerful Portable Speakers with 4-way Inputs, Great Sound & Volume.
I have a pair of indoor BT with TF/uSD card stereo speaker but they're only good for a single room. I wanted a more robust pair for indoor/outdoor use. These are ideal. They have 4 audio inputs; BT, USB Flash Drive, TF/uSD card, and an AUX input. I connected them all simultaneously and scrolled through the 4 sources without any issues. I have a 16G uSD card with 1,400 songs as my go to choice. The sound is terrific and plenty loud in the outdoors. The TWS mode pairs easily and works with all inputs. They sound great and have excellent BT connection range, indoors and out. The super bass mode is awesome when playing at low volumes and the 3D mode is my preference when the volume goes up. With duplicate speakers on both sides of each speaker, the sound is pretty much directed everywhere, 360°. There's plenty of battery life. The user interface is very clean. I did test the speaker phone feature, that I won't use, and it works fine however my built-in microphone pickup is pretty weak. I'm sure I'll get years of enjoyment out these portable yet powerful 40W speakers. Update: Undocumented Stereo features When using a single M5, the dual 20W speakers play in stereo. The speaker on the + volume side plays the left stereo channel and on the + volume side plays the right stereo channel. And when using dual M5 speakers in TWS mode, the M5 with the audio source plays the left stereo channel.
