I think that this book is also good for beginners because it's very well organized and with each chapter the exercises should help you become more confident in your ability to communicate. I tell my students to buy them as a support for learning all aspects of Spanish grammar and they love them. The biggest reason for their popularity is the no frills, clear, concise explanations given for every item they are teaching. They also have good practice pages and easy to find answers in the back to correct one's work. The cost is much better than what students pay for overpriced text books! I often wanted to get my school to replace the text books with all of the books in this series. I would suggest this book ONLY if you are providing verbal lessons for your children. The book is well laid out. However, it is a supplement. To use this book without regularly providing your child the option to speak Spanish will likely suck the joy out of learning a beautiful language. I highly recommend as a supplement to other Spanish resources.
