The mesh sides gives me comfort that it is safe to breath through, and it is pretty much a smaller version of the Baby Delight regular bassinet! Two things I will say though, make sure the leg stands are pushed completely to the sides they are supposed to be, AFTER you lay your baby down. It is really important that the whole bassinet remains flat and make sure to have the part where the baby lays to be flat also, not tilted to the sides they cause of its contact with the floor if your baby is heavy like mine. And I wish it was longer! It’s folds down to be super travel compatible and storage. It’s lightweight but study. It was the main bassinet for my first baby. She was small enough to sleep in it until she was about 5 months!
