However I think he will get several years of enjoyment out of this. For a child of his standard these are pieces to spend a little while learning not just to sight read and they are absolutely beautifully written. As a significantly more experienced pianist myself I am really enjoying playing the music to my children. They are perfectly written for piano and are lovely arrangements, worlds apart from other children's Christmas music arrangements I have tried. The only word of warning is that there is a range of music in here - popular Christmas songs as well as traditional carols. If, like my son, you are planning to run a carol service for the grandparents on Christmas Day (!) you may want to get some more carol music elsewhere. Review: Fine for all ages - These in-between exercises are good practice before moving up to study the next grade. They are meant for youngsters but I started piano aged 66 and they suit me too.

Fine for all ages
These in-between exercises are good practice before moving up to study the next grade. They are meant for youngsters but I started piano aged 66 and they suit me too.

Not just for those who are at grade 1-2. Lovely jazzy versions of Christmas tunes
Fabulous book for light relief at Christmas. I have just passed my grade 4 but found these classic Christmas tunes had a very interesting compositions. They are easy but they sound impressive and more complicated than they are. My favourites were Walking in the Air and Chestnuts roasting in an open fire.

Possibly aimed more towards grade 2
Good quality book but I think the pieces in here are more aiming towards grade 2 but saying that I look forward to trying some of the pieces in here. I have the other books in the series for grades 1-2 and I am happy with them like I am this book. Good quality print so easy to read.

Great arrangements
I love the arrangements in this book - great for more advanced players and for those at Grade 1-2. I am a piano teacher and loved both playing themselves and teaching them to my pupils.

A grand book of Christmas music
This is a lovely book of Christmas music for Grade 1-2 piano pupils, I shall be using it regularly from now on...

UP -GRADE ! CHRISTMAS 1-2 (Piano)
love the piano arrangement and the selection of songs would recommend it to others and think it is higher than grade 2 Pam wedgewood is brilliant

Nice gift idea
I can understand why it us grade 1 and 2 as done of thetunes are harder than ithers. A good book that will last a few years. Nice present
