Works great I bought this to replace a home depot brand transformer that broke, originally I purched their new version which was the same 200w as my original but it was wifi only. While I am not an IT professional I know enought to handle just about any wifi or network issues. I went as far as to create a 2nd network on my system that was 2.4ghz and use only that wifi network for the homedepot one. It could not connect no matter what I did. I swapped it out hoping it was just the unit. Nope same issue. Returned it and bought this one. Install took 20 minutes as I had to drill some holes in my block wall, after that it was up and running. Connecting to wifi took seconds and has not had a single connection issue since. Highly recommend this product its cheaper than the homedepot version and so much easier to use. Just wanted to be clear the wifi issues I had were with the original homedepo version not this one

Easy to install and works great, the app is a little hard to use. I couldn't find the option to have lights go on at Sunset, but it's possible by clicking on the "+" in the top right corner and creating a scene and muddling through their options. Also, kudos to the manufacturer support. They saw my note in my earlier review that I couldn't set it to work for sunset and they sent me directions even though the problem was with their 3rd party app.

I purchased two of these in the past month. Installation was simple. App and interface with Alexa are streamlined and intuitive. I was in love! Then... One unit stopped working after three weeks. I'm devastated. The load is well under what the unit can carry and connections are tight and voltage tested. Seems others have had theirs quit as well. I'd like to think I got a bad unit and swap it for a replacement but I'm afraid it will cut out on me outside of the return window. I'm devastated. Update... I initiated the return and decided to replace it with their 300 W version because I liked it so much. Upon further inspection my electrician was incorrect and one of his connections was arcing! The unit was perfectly fine. It's wonderful!

UPDATED REVIEW: Upon writing a 1-star review, the seller contacted me about my legitimate complaint about this landscape timer. After a brief review of troubleshooting options, the seller agreed that it was blown. Thankfully, they sent me a replacement immediately, which was very much appreciated. I installed the new unit yesterday and thus far, it seems to be working. I am not yet giving this a 5-star updated review simply because I do not have full trust that this device will last, considering others have had similar issues. But because the seller was very helpful to solve this problem, I'm upgrading the rating to 4 stars because it actually is a decent design with a simple app interface. Keeping fingers crossed that this will last. 🤞 I took a chance with this 300 watt wifi transformer but I guess I got what I paid for. I didn't think the protection plan, which was 1/3 the cost of this item, was a good investment. But I didn't think the transformer would quit within 4 months of installing it. The price and the features seemed ideal, but the durability is apparently short-lived. Unfortunately, there appears to be ZERO ways to contact customer service. Might as well have bought this from a street vendor. HOW can a company operate this way? I mean I would understand if you're selling a frisbee or a set or a dog toy, but this is an electronic, potentially dangerous, weather-sensitive engineered device and there is NO ONE to contact about this? Ridiculous. Well, if for any reason someone at the company reads this, none of the two zone lights work. I tried the reset button (it disconnected from its weather-proof rubber cover and disappeared inside the unit) but that did nothing. Unplugging did nothing. The wifi light is on but that's all I get. It's clear the circuitry/transformer is defective. And this is powered downstream of an AFCI breaker.

I purchased (2) of the 300W version for a client and one of them stopped working after a few months. So I purchased a replacement (at my own cost) and THAT one stopped working after a few weeks. So (2) out of (3) are on the junk pile. I'm stumped. They are all in the same location, within a few feet of the WiFi router. They work fine for a while... and then they don't. I've also purchased (3) of the 200W and (1) of the 120W. So far those are all still functioning properly. There is no customer service to call, so I'm stuck with (2) dead 300W transformers. I'm very frustrated and embarrassed by all the troubleshooting I've had to do, without any success. If anyone has an alternative product to recommend, I'm all ears.

Backyard remodel ongoing... Contractor offered a Pro Trade 300W transformer - what a dinosaur. Only one output, no connectivity at all, not even a timer. Huge box, super heavy. Enter the Suraielec - after some research, purchased 2 of these 300W units. Love at first sight. Box is probably 30-40% lighter than Pro Trade, has 2 outputs, has a proper external top-mounted whip antenna (not just a loose wire that is subject to placement, typically downwards which affects reception if close to the ground), and has a nice matte black finish, easily paintable. Was concerned with WiFi setup, so plugged in the units inside the house first. WiFi setup was easy and worked immediately on both boxes. Took the boxes outside to the far corner of the yard, and tested connectivity. ON/OFF is nearly instantaneous, very impressive compared to many other IoT devices we have, that often have lag. Five star experience so far. Only question is reliability, we'll see how it goes. For one third the cost of Pro Trade, it's a no-brainer.

It took less than 15 minutes to install and connecting to internet was easier than some of my lightbulbs that I have connected. It. Is made of metal and very durable and waterproof. Connecting 12/2 wire was the most difficult due to the thickness. Great product and highly recommend.
