A: On the friction side.  It actually soaks into the pad to stop any squeaking.

**Q: Why does a 1 ounce bottle weigh 1.32 pounds?**
A: First, there are 2 bottles, a box, and some packing material. But more importantly, these weights are most often calculated by Amazon, so who knows how they came up with that. I know a box of 30 (2) packs weights 10 lbs. so probably around .32 lbs. would be more accurate.
