Orion Motor Tech OMT Bearing Puller Set, Bearing Splitter Tool Kit

Worked for me without incident. Using it to pull bearings for tool motor repair. Complete instructions for those have not used the tool in combination before would be nice though.

Excellent bearing puller. Use this kit all the time. Not sure on the long term durability but has paid for itself already.

First thing you need to do is take off the supplied nuts and get some Grade 8 ones. My first bearing pull I thought i broke the tool! It was the threads of the nuts that tore, making the nut go sideways. That made it look like the shaft bent. I got some Grade 8 nuts and hardened washers and pullled the pulley right off. The jaws are thicker than my last set so you must have a larger gap between the bearing and the sheave to allow the tool to fit. Also make sure you coat the threads of all the pins witn anti-seeze. It will help with a smooth operation. The threads on two of the flat end pins had rough threads and it seemed like they were bad until I anti-seezed and wrenched them through once. The case does not hold all the parts in place, so plan on picking them up every time you open the case! No matter what side you open from, something falls out. It is not a huge issue, but that is why I took away a star. Other than that I got the job done. End of day happy.

I got this for my husband he loved it The only problem is the box should have something that tells you different from top or bottom because every person that opened it opens it the wrong way with the parts facing down

very light duty junk. first use trying to pull a bearing off a shaft and i end up stripping the yoke where the forcing screw goes in, stripped out an extension leg, and bent both bearing splitter screws. I can't imagine i was too hard on it as I used an 80 ftlb impact wrench and there's absolutely no way that should have done this kind of damage to this unit.

Defective kit containing two different parts that appear to belong to different products or versions. The kit came with two pieces that should be exactly the same, as shown in the photos. To use them as intended, I would need to make several modifications and take one of the parts to a metalworking shop to have its length corrected. This is unacceptable for a new product and suggests a complete lack of quality control.
