Nice, Large Size! Nice Large Bag! Folds Easily!
I like this thing more than I expected. It's about as sturdy as you'd want it to be, because any more and it would be too heavy to move around and install/remove, any less and it would be too light duty. The instructions were worthless, but it was easy to assemble. There is some spring/bolt thingy that I have NO idea how it could possibly have a function, but it seemed to be an extra anyway, because everything else necessary to put it together and install was there. It doesn't come with a hitch pin, though, just a bolt that you have to use tools to tighten. So if you want it to be a bit easier to install, buy a separate hitch pin. To make it less wobbly, it has this bent plate that tightens against the bottom of your receiver tube, and that DOES require an 18mm wrench to tighten/loosen every time you install/remove this cargo carrier, so just know that if you want to remove it when you get to your location, take an 18mm wrench with you. You could probably drive without the tension plate installed, but it will definitely wiggle around more. I love that the gate sides fold up so it's as flat as possible when storing. The bag is quite large. It fills the entire thing, plus sticks out the top about a foot. I easily put 6 large sleeping bags, 4 thick "Therma-Rest" style sleeping pads, two cots, 3 adult pairs of boots, and a small backpack, and I had still had some room at the top where I could have put more small items. With our 2015 Toyota Highlander, you can still open the rear lift hatch with the cargo carrier installed. If it's super overloaded, the door might hit the cargo you loaded unless you keep it to the backside, but with a medium load it's not a problem. However, my friend's Yukon could NOT open the rear lift hatch with the carrier installed, let alone with cargo, so it depends on your vehicle's shape, I guess. We also own a rooftop cargo carrier. This has been so much easier to install, load, and use than the rooftop carrier, and as an added bonus, it doesn't seem to affect gas mileage at all. And double bonus, the hard-shell rooftop carrier is limited to what fits with it still being able to close. This hitch carrier can be loaded as much as you can strap onto it, so if you need just a bit more room and have enough straps or rope, knock yourself out. In conclusion, yes, this thing was GREAT for the price. I love it.

Beefy, quality, water resistant , zippered and velcro'ed cargo bag. Nice cargo carrier.
If you are putting this on a car with a Class I hitch, only holds 250 lbs. You will be able to carry 350 lbs with a Class II hitch. I don't have a vehicle that will allow 500 lbs hitch weight, but this cargo carrier seems very well built and will probably hold. On my 2011 Lexus ES350 I got the long shank 1-1/4" to 2" offset adapter which raises the cargo carrier several inches. If you are doing a straight 1-1/4" to 2" adapter, you may end up creating a lot of sparks at night on the Interstate when going over those bridges and dips on our wonderful roads. Definitely need to raise this carrier up. I like the folding feature. The water resistant bag is high quality and prevents rain from infiltrating the cargo inside. Nice zipper and velcro. Great set of straps to hold your cargo down, in a neat zippered bag, too!

Get the right ratchet/socket for bolts
Overall great product just needs to come with the correct ratxhet/socket sixs to tighten bolts!!! Its not a typical tool kit siza and also the hitch bolt is tough to put on because you need to be on the ground. If it was a pin it be easier especially for women. I am afraid the hitch bolt will be extremely difficult to get off.

Great investment
Purchased this for a recent move since I got rid of my truck. Now that I drive an SUV, we were missing some of the storage space and since we were moving to another state, we need a little more storage space. It is fairly easy to build, attach, and operate. The instructions are in broken English transliterated from Chinese, but still could figure it out. I rated it 4 stars isn't because it is missing one of the side wall latches, which I was able to improvise with a bungee cable. The storage bag is waterproof, which was tested by the rain during our move, and holds 3 big suitcases comfortably. We used a different lock from the cheap combination lock provided and it's no problem to use your own padlock on the zipper. Attachment to your tow hitch is pretty easy, but no matter how much I tried, I could not get it to be level and looking at it from behind while both empty or full, it was lower on one side. In summary, this made it possible to bring everything we needed to bring and couldn't pack away in the moving truck with us during our interstate move with very little difficulty or concern. Looking forward to using it in future adventures such as camping and hunting trips.

A great alternative to renting a cargo trailer.
We need to carry more stuff than will fit inside our SUV when we travel between our winter home in Florida and our summer home in New York. The carrier is very sturdy but not very heavy, and the bag that comes with it and sits on the carrier is large and has a waterproof seal. It holds three good-sized totes plus some large duffel bags. It is cheaper to buy this than renting a small U-Haul trailer twice a year and makes driving much easier. However, it will obscure your license plate, so for long trips you may want to move the license plate to the back of the carrier. It appears to have a powder-coated finish, so I don't think rust will be a problem. It comes with almost everything you need to tie down the bag onto the carrier, but you will need a hitch pin to secure the carrier into your hitch receiver, and I would suggest a locking hitch pin which we already had since we use the SUV to tow either a small pop-up trailer or our 16 foot pontoon boat and trailer.

Problem solved!!!
I booked a 9 day cruise for a family of 5 (including a 2 year old and a 10 year old) so I packed a lot (4 large suitcases and 5 carry ons). It wasn’t until a week before we left that we realized that all the suitcases wouldn’t fit in the trunk. I immediately panicked. I found this hitch mount and bought it. The installation was pretty easy for my husband to put together. The waterproof bag that comes with it was thick, very large, and durable. We were able to easily fit all our suitcases. It held up great on the 1.5 hour ride to the cruise port. You can fold it up when you’re not using it. This was a great value for the price!

Doesnt hold 500lbs, predrilled holes dont match up, rusting after 2 uses
Out of the box it looks very nice, its very heavy, bag is great, straps provided worked well to hold it to the frame, ratchet/bungees are ok net/lock are cheap/flimsy When putting it together the item itself is heavy maybe 70 lbs thats without the bag straps etc. the paperwork states the entire hitch is rated to hold 400lbs max. The pre drilled holes on the base and the pin are not lined up right so when you go to to fold up the unit its takes some finagling to get the pin through. For the price tools to put it together should come in the box also, too awkward to use with household wrench, need larger socket wrenches After using it 2x camping noted some rust spots on the hitch already

Worth it
It was easy to install and held up very well. Took it on a trip to the mountains and didnt have any issues, didnt wobble or make any noise in our 9 hour drive. Only issue I had, of my own making, I went over a large bump too fast and the straps fell off. The bag was waterproof and resilient. Went through rain and snow, everything stayed dry.
