Cozy Stroll Universal Pushchair Handlebar Extender/Extension Bar - Ideal when using a Buggy Board

Just awful. Hardly universal. We have a Phil & and Ted's Dott 2 and these just didn't fit securely. I need am extension as with a buggy board on, I'm straining my back, but this thing was dreadful. I'd read other reviews saying similar, but thought I'd give it a try, but they were right!

This extension means I can take my baby out in her pram with my toddler daughter on her buggy board seat without doing an awkward waddle or catching my feet. I use this with a mamas and papas zoom which has one solid handle. Its perfect for going out and about and the flexibility of the handle means it folds down perfectly with the pram! Dont get me wrong going up kerbs I always use the actual pram handle as I personally feel safer using that for kerbs. Also when were in tight spaces i.e. shops, I use the velcro strap to keep the handle extension out of the way as its quite difficult to maneover the pram round lots of corners using the extension. For the sake of saving your sanity and getting out the house and having a decent walk I would recommend this handle extension. So worth the money.

It seems that nearly all folding strollers are designed for people under 5ft 6" with a very short stride. I am of average height and walk with one foot in front of the other. This is a problem as I stoop and kick the back of our stroller. I bought this contraption hoping it would be the solution and if you only walk up and down a perfectly flat surface, devoid of camber and do not need to turn or navigate kerbs then this is your answer. Unfortunately pavement's are not level and they have kerbs and occasionally you do have to steer. The feel of the grip is great. In fact the whole top ⅞ of it is very good. Bizarrely though it cost twice the price of a compact folding stroller. Where it fails is where it attaches to the handles. The makers have gone with flexible straps like cable ties but much more awkward and as I later found, virtually impossible to release once tightened. In use in a straight line it felt great and the extra height and stride space was a revelation. If the stroller remained empty then this would be the perfect solution. Mine however has a child in. There is a fair bit of leverage required to steer with weight in a stroller, so much so that the stroller handles and the straps flex meaning you need to anticipate a turn and force the handlebar contraption on full lock on a medium camber. This would be better if it was fitted to a non folding stroller which raises the second issue of quick release. As the handlebar adds length to the stroller when fitted and disables the folding mechanism when fitted, there needs to be a quick release system so the stroller can be folded an put in the boot of a car. I had to tighten the straps so tight to enable me to even walk with the stroller that the straps were unreleasable, no matter reusable. Needless to say it has been returned.

There are some diverse reviews here and I agree with most of them to some extent. The floppy nature of the extension limits it when going up and down curbs, which is annoying to a degree, but, on the flat, it certainly does save me from getting a sore back through stooping all the time. Actually, I took a hacksaw to mine and shortened it down a few inches. Then I turned it upside down so that the loop points downward. In this configuration it works a lot better for me.

I'd give this product zero stars if possible but sadly there's no option to do so. The unit itself is very cheap quality and feels like it could actually break once there's a baby in the pram and a toddler on a buggboard. Within 2 minutes of opening the box it had failed to screw on at one side. The soft plastic thread to hold this in place had worn as the tooth there to bit it had bent. If this had been £6.99 I may have persevered and modified it myself to work properly, but it's significantly more expensive and the quality does not relfect the price. Do not waste your money on this product

If you are a tall parent, you definitely need this extension handle. It is comfortable to maneuver with one hand. Quality is quite good, arrived quickly. I am pleased with the purchase.

Not worth spending £30 on in my opinion. Instructions are simple but confusing and the extension isn't long enough for purpose. Couple that with how floppy the extension system is and within minutes my husband and I decided that it just wasn't going to work with us. Took it on one trip out and ended up having to take it off as it was so awful. Am returning this product.

Habe es wie auf dem bild montiert - man kann die halterung aber nach oben und unten drehen - diese aber nicht fixieren.... Somit musste ich die halterung nach obenmontieren um dann beim gestänge wenn es ganz unten ist einen wieserstand zu haben, da es sonst immer auf den kopf des zweiten kindes baumelte. Ansonsten finde ich es auch sehr filligran und ist meiner Meinung nach den Preis nicht Wert.

Ich habe nun die letzten Tage die Griffverlängerung getestet und muss leider sagen, dass es ein Fehlkauf war. Ich weiß, dass ich nicht viel für 30 € erwarten muss, aber wäre solch eine Griffverlängerung vorher durch jemanden getestet worden, hätte sie es besser gemacht. Wieso eine Griffverlängerung und kein passender Buggy: Hier die Gründe zur Griffverlängerung: Ich habe mir die Griffverlängerung für unseren Buggy besorgt. Hierbei ist unser Buggy praktisch (klein zusammen faltbar) und für mich ausreichend, jedoch für eine Wickeltasche nicht gut konzipiert. Wenn unser Baby drin sitzt, ist es okay. Wenn es aber in der Liegeposition schläft, steht die Wickeltasche etwas ab und ich stosse ständig die Knie bzw. Oberschenkel dagegen. Meinem Mann ist der Buggy auch etwas zu klein, was uns dazu verleitet hat, eine Griffverlängerung zu suchen, anstatt einen neuen Buggy, da diese nun mal teurer sind als eine Verlängerung ;) Bevor ich mit dem Negativem loslege, zähle ich die positiven Sachen auf: Die Griffverlängerung erfüllt ihren Zweck, den „Griff zu verlängern“. Die Befestigung ist an sich okay, da sie an jedem Buggy / Kinderwagen anpassbar ist.... Das war es leider. Nun zu den Negativen: Zur Befestigung: Die Bedienungsanleitung kommt nur in Englisch, was für mich zwar kein Problem darstellt, jedoch vielleicht für den ein oder anderen Probleme bereitet. Und was in der Bedienungsanleitung nicht erwähnt wird ist, dass die Griffbefestigung durch ein Gewinde am Originalgriff angebracht wird. Man muss die Schlaufen also in das Loch einführen, feste drücken und mit der anderen Hand anfangen zu drehen, bis das Gewinde greift. Es war etwas schwerfällig, bis das Gewinde gegriffen hat. Danach ging es aber gut. Man dreht so lange, bis die Verlängerung am Originalgriff fest sitzt. Der Griff hat ein bewegliches Gelenk, was mich persönlich sehr gestört hat. Wenn man nur mit diesem Griff, ohne die Oberarmstütze läuft, wackelt diese ständig nach oben, oder unten. Auch mit der Oberarmstütze ist das Gelenk sehr wackelig, so dass eine Überwindung einer Bordsteinkante doch dazu führt, wieder den Originalgriff zu benutzen, was eigentlich nicht Sinn und Zweck der Sache ist. Und wenn man den Originalgriff benutzt, ist die Griffverlängerung etwas im Weg. Ist zwar nicht von langer Dauer, aber dennoch nervig. Man hätte hier ein bewegliches Gelenk mit Rasterfunktion machen können, dann wäre das Problem behoben und man müsste nicht mit der Oberarmstütze laufen, wenn man nicht will. Die Oberarmstütze ist dazu da, den Griff wohl besser in Position halten zu können. Dieses hat aber die Nachteile, dass man den Wagen lediglich mit einem Arm halten kann und auch nur mittig. Da dieses mittig von der Griffverlängerung ist, muss man gezwungener-weise etwas seitlich vom Kinderwagen / Buggy laufen. Das ist auf engen Fußgängerwegen fast unmöglich, so dass man gezwungen wird, auf der Bordsteinkante zu balancieren, oder auf der Straße zu gehen. Wenn man ohne die Oberarmstütze läuft, ist die Befestigung für die Armstütze genau da, wo man sonst seine Hände hält. Also muss man etwas umgreifen. Hier auch ein Tipp an die Hersteller: Hätte man die Verlängerungsstange dicker gemacht, so dass die Befestigung für die Oberarmstütze in diese Stange rein gehen würde, anstatt außerhalb der Stange wie auf den Bildern, wäre es nicht notwendig solche Plastikteile einzusetzen. Und man könnte selbst entscheiden, ob man mit Oberarmstütze laufen will oder nicht. Fazit: Wäre die Griffverlängerung so, wie ich sie beschrieben habe, also mit Rasterfunktion des Gelenkes ohne Oberarmstütze oder als komplettes festes Teil, wäre sie für mich ausreichend. Dafür hätte ich auch gerne mehr Geld ausgegeben. So ist sie lediglich für kurze Strecken ohne Bordsteinkanten-Überwindung ausreichend.
