I’ve occasionally had a little smudging when using a ruler with these pens but I always make sure the ruler is upside down now (so there’s a small gap between ruler and paper) which stops this occurring.Also when you first use each pen, there’s often a small bit of plastic on the nib that needs picking off before it will write.
