They breakdown when you chew them vs being chewy like a standard gummy bear. That's good for not only reducing choking hazards but good for the digestive system. I used it for several days to make sure it didn't upset my stomach before letting my child taste it. Of course she loved it because it does taste like candy.But obviously it's tasty due to the added sugar. Due to how sweet they are, I think they could have put half that and they would still be tasty for kids. To put this in to perspective, there are actual regular candy gummy bears from a popular brand that has slightly less than 1g of sugar per gummy bear. Aden Wellness gummy bears are 1.5g. There are also other vitamin gummy bear options out there with no sugar or less sugar.However, if you have a very active child and sugar is not a concern for you at this level, then these appear to be great supplements to give your child vitamins. This product has NOT gone through the FDA so you can only trust it's label at face value.
