Good book
My five-year old granddaughter loves this. the stories are of a good length for a new reader to follow along. A few black and white pictures. I recommend this.

Lovely book
Not had a chance to read too many of the stories yet as my daughter got quite a few books for her birthday but what we have read has been good. My daughter loved her ‘stories for 5 year olds’ so she was very pleased to get this on her 6th birthday.

Good story book
Arrived promptly and pleased my grandson. He's only just six and so anything with an age on it has to be the right age! I feel it could have done with a few more pictures, really. He's only a beginning reader and whole pages of print are a bit daunting. He wants to do it himself!

With the odd exception, a fairly dull, soulless collection.
In my opinion, a collection of pretty dull, soulless children's stories. There is the odd gem, but most have a pretty negative slant and I felt I needed to prescreen them before reading to my 6-year old. Julia Donaldson they are not. Personally, could not recommend at all.

Great book. Child enjoys it. Short stories that capture child's attention. I would certainly recommend this book for a child.

Got this book for my granddaughter and she loves it. Great stories and easy to read.

Not the best book. It’s condensed, so almost no pictures and too many lines together. The stories are just ok. I bought it for a kid who has no access to any libraries, and I think it will help her to have some more stories to read, meant for kids, not too long, and with interesting characters. It will do.
