Stays where it should but comes off with ease. Unfortunately this black version didn't quite live up to the expectations. The pigment is intense and the formula is very soft and easy to apply but does not hold very well on the waterline. My eyes are not particularly watery and the eyeliner unfortunately smudged after a few hours (literally just went out for a meal and back). I would therefore not use this for tightlining my eyes.
