**Q: Can you apply this over a gloss sealant to get a matt finish?**
A: No

**Q: Will this take a shine off of travertine tiles? If not is there a product that does?**
A: Sorry, we don't understand - natural travertine tiles do not normally shine.   This product would leave a matt finish on natural travertine.

**Q: What is the difference between this and the ltp h20 mattstone sealer?**
A: Hi
This is solvent based and H20 is water based

**Q: Can it be used to seal encaustic tiles?**
A: 'Yes...this product is perfect for sealing encaustic tiles..... As encaustic tiles are patterned air cured cement tiles, they are very porous..If it is for a new installation you will find these patterned cement tiles very porous. Hence for new installations ; After fixing and before grouting apply a generous coat to the surface and leave to dry overnight. This creates a good base layer to build additional coats. Apply further coats at 2 hourly intervals until the tile is fully saturated. Saturation has been achieved when an even layer of sealer is still visible on the surface after 20 minutes. Wipe up any excess and leave for a further 2 hours before grouting the joints. After grouting and when the surface is completely dry apply a final coat of LTP Mattstone making sure to cover the joints. Clean and maintain thereafter using LTP Waxwash.

If it is an existing surface and you are topping up the protection first clean and degrease the surface using a 1:10 solution of LTP Grimex before applying LTP Mattstone.
