as a proffesional plumber, I have fitted more than 120 of these bristan easyfit taps and never had a problem, they are easyfit after the first one is installed because you can change the taps form the top with no extra plumbing work, however, if you are fitting these for the first time I would recommend them being fitted by a proffesional. do use the silicone grease provided on the o rings before assembly, do use an L shaped allen key to tighten the 2 securing nuts and not just the small screwdriver provided, always make sure the screws are seated in properly. I have these taps in my own house, would not use anything else. they are superb quality at a very reasonable price. the bad reviews on here are from diyers who have not fitted them correctly. the also work with high and low pressure systems.

I know Amazon are trying to cut down on packaging but I didn't know that extended to no packaging at all. The tap virtually fell out of the unsealed manufacturers box when I picked it up. I purchased this item because of its quality and didn't want to 'buy cheap and buy twice' and not because of the 'Easy fit' system - which was just as well as I found it less easy to fit than a standard tap. Since the access hole in my sink top wasn't big enough I still had to fit the base from below along with the the normal mains connections and all in all I found the fitting system quite fiddly and securing the grub screws particularly difficult. The Easyfit promise only applies to the next Easy fit tap you buy since this can be fitted simply by removing the old tap head and pushing down the replacement. However now that it's fitted it does look good and if it lasts the promised 10 years I'll be happy

As the clue in the name suggests this tap was easy to fit (well if you don't include the tight working space in the cupboard under the sink, but no fault of the tap) My worktop is 30mm thick so it's not possible to feed the locking plate through from the top (8mm Worktop thickness is the maximum you can do this) so I removed the bottom locking plate, feed the hot and cold feeds through the worktop hole and replaced the locking plate, I did this on my own so had to work by feel rather than sight as you need one arm above the sink and one below, there is however a locating pin fitted so makes this relatively easy to do, if not you'll just need someone to help with this bit. Then you just position the tap where you want it and tighten it into place from above, very easy. The tap comes supplied with shut off valves but as I already had these fitted I didn't need them. The flexible hoses that are also supplied just screw into the hot and cold feeds, and only need to be hand tight, no tool necessary. Then it was just a matter of connecting the flexible hoses to the water supply and slotting the tap into place and tightening it, tools for tightening the grup screws are also supplied with the tap. The tap itself looks great and is of very high quality, the twin levers are free moving and function well. The water flow is smooth and has good pressure. All in all I found this an excellent product and would rcommend it.

Looks great and works very well with a nice smooth feel to the spout and leaver actions. I've replaced a number of taps in the past and this was the easiest to fit as the mounting bolt is also the hot water supply pipe, which is tightened from above with the supplied allen key. When the mount and pipes are in place the mixer tap is placed over them and secured with two grub screws that are tightened using hex screwdriver, also supplied. Comes with an optional adapter plate for different surface depths. Feels like it's very durable and will last much longer than the tap it replaced, so good value for money.

We saw this tap first in a local builder’s merchants however they wanted much more than we bought it for on Amazon – It was delivered quickly and before the time stated on our order - on opening the box we discovered there was no fitting instruction - I rang Bristan’s Help Line number and got a recorded message to say it had been changed – Finally after getting another number I got to speak to a very helpful lady who gave me a case number and sent me an email with a pdf file of the instructions – Installation was not quite as easy as I was hoping, but this was down to our ‘Carron Phoenik’ sink, the hole was too small so the Push Fit Connector would not just slip in from the top, so rather than enlarging it I took the connector apart, then with my wife holding the top in place I offered the bottom up to the top from under the sink where she was able to turn the Allan key until it was firmly in place – connecting the flexible connectors to the Push-Fit connector was so easy and required little effort and again connecting the flexibles to the house pipework was straight forward although I did put some ptfe tape round the threads before tightening them up – I applied a little grease to the tap connectors (supplied) and making sure the securing screws lined up with the rebates on the Push Fit Connector pushed the tap body firmly in place - then finally screwing the two securing Alan screws fully home – This ‘Bristan Easy-Fit Echo Tap’ was much easier to fit then the old one it replaced . Sadly, we then discovered our mixer arm was bent! - something we had not noticed until this point – I emailed Bristan and attached an image of the damaged arm but after two days of not getting a reply I was getting concerned so I rang Amazon and explained the problem again to a very helpful lady, there was no further questions asked, the lady told me we would have a replacement within two days – Thankfully all we had to do was change over the mixer arm and return the damaged one. We are VERY PLEASED with our ‘Echo Easy-fit Kitchen Sink Mixer Tap’ and EVEN MORE PLEASED with Amazons response and quick service – six days on and still no reply from Bristan!!!!

Love this tap.Sturdy piece of equipment well worth the money,would buy it again but I think it will last forever!It fitted perfectly and looks expensive so one pleased customer.

Very nicely engineered piece of kit. Really solid-feeling tap. Unfortunately the hole in my kitchen work surface was too large for the tap at 45mm, so had to return. Didn't give it five stars because I never actually got to fit it and see it working but I thought the fitting mechanism was ingenious and the tap could be easily removed at a later date for the inevitable change of O rings, cartridges, etc.

very happy with this kitchen tap, so easy to fit instructions were excellent looks great priced well so all in all I would highly recommend.
