Galpharm Cold Sore Cream 2g x 3 Packs

I get a LOT of cold sores, all year round. I hate them in a million ways, not least that I have to spend money on treatment creams. You get a teeny tube, that I’m often a bit heavy handed with and there’s a few pounds on the sofa. I had nothing to lose in trying these and I’m so glad I did. It’s the same stuff as the known brands, but significantly cheaper. Best of all is with three tubes, you can have one in the bathroom cabinet, one in the car, one in a handbag etc. The cream needs to be started at the very first tingle, so having one to hand can make a massive difference. If you do have a full blown cold sore, it’s still worth using this as it can stop it getting worse and I personally think they heal quicker.

Same ingredient as the expensive brand leaders, at a fraction of the price. I have these around the house and in the car so I'm ready for that tell-tale tingle. Cheap enough to go on the attack and smother the blistering before it gets out of hand. Wouldn't be without them.

I was prescribed this for shingles rash. As it is only a tiny tube to be used as instructed I needed more so bought it off Amazon. It did the job. Good value. Main use for this cream is cold sore treatment.

I have bought this brand before and it has don't what I hoped, only down side is the package looks deceiving, content says 2g and when you flattern the tube to get the cream you will find the tube is only a third full, based on the three I bought. But overall the product works well. I did squeeze on slightly before opening and wasted probably half based on it only being a third full. My bad.

3 tubes for under £6! Compare that to the extortionate price you'll pay in a chenist for the same size tube of Zovirax and you'll see exactly what I mean. These are not far off ⅓ of the price per tube. However, these people are asking more for shipping than the price of the three tubes cost, and I'm sorry, but thst is completely unnaceptable and a disgrace. I got minefrom a 100% seller on an auction site, 3 tubes £7.47p free shipping. Hense one star. As for the product, it will do the job of eliminating cold sores and even preventing them, after all they contain the same ingredients. However some have complained that (as seen in the picture I posted), the tube has to be squeezed quite a way before the product within is available for use. It is however exactly the same with a tube of Zovirax, but in the case of the latter I always become irked due to the price of the stuff. Thinking something along the lines of "I paid a fortune for this and it's half empty". Please do not be put off by this as the amount in the tube is the same as the other brand.

Had a spell in hospital where I picked up a case of shingles! The hospital provided one tube of cream which didn't clearance rash up. The active ingredient in the cold sore cream is the same as the shingles cream as its the same virus apparently, but the cold sore cream is much cheaper!

Quite good at pain relief, but half the tube is air, and the other half is product. Had to squeeze a lot of air out of the tube first. But it is a good product.
