Thank you for your asking. **Q: Will it stick to Matt ceramic tiles** A: THIS ONLY RELATES TO FLAT-SURFACED, GLOSSY TILES, but it may help others.It has suction cups so, strictly speaking it does not "stick". :-) The actual membrane that makes the connection is quite soft but also thin. As I recall, the actual contact area is a circle of about 5 or 6 mm width; its outer diameter is pretty much that of the cap (7.5 cm, or 3"). I have large GLOSSY, FLAT-SURFACED ceramic tiles and mine "sticks" very well with one cup on each of two adjoining tiles. I think that as long as one ensures that the suction cups are fully on the ceramic surfaces and do not bridge the grouted gaps then that should be okay. Obviously, the gaps between tiles prevents any suction. FYI, the actual distance between centres of the suction cups is 15 cm (6") and the cup diameter is 7.5 cm (3"); so you should be able to check that you can properly attach the caddy onto your particular tiles. There are also screw fittings supplied so that you can attach the caddy but you have to drill through the tiles. (If you've never drilled tiles check out how to do it before attempting that (it involves ensuring the drill is the correct type, using tape so that it cannot slip, and NEVER using a hammer drill!!! :-) ). FWIW, I am very pleased with my caddy (and the soap dish accessory - although the plastic dish itself is not as robust as it could be and will need to be treated as delicate). I'm using mine for toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving foam and razors, so nothing particularly heavy. However, it is very strongly attached and could hold much greater weights, I'm sure. For what it is, I'm very pleased with the general quality and appearance - and I'm very picky! I would imagine that if your matt tiles are completely smooth and do not have any surface texture you may be okay. However, you could end up using the screw fixings and that, of course, has implications if you are renting or remove the fitting later (unsightly holes). **Q: If you use the screw-fixing option in a wet plastic wall, how do you keep the holes watertight? Silicone?** A: I've only ever used the suction pads on my tiled bathroom, not wanting to drill holes in the tiles. Sorry this doesn't help you answer your question, but, I would suggest that, of you can, use the suction caps as well.
