I’ve been using these solar-powered lights for five years now, and they’ve proven to be a reliable addition to my garden. I chose them partly for their large size, which gives them a more substantial light output, and also the solar feature means I don’t have to deal with battery changes or messy wires. After opening the box, I put them in a well-lit area near a window for a day or so to fully charge before installing them in the garden. Fitting them was straightforward; it came with screws and wall plugs, and the two holes on each light makes it easy to mount them on fences or walls etc. One handy feature is the button next to the PIR sensor. This allows you to switch between different modes easily, and in this order: - Off When it gets dark… - Dim constant - Dim/bright when motion is detected - Off/bright when motion is detected This means adjusting them after installation is much easier than with some other brands that often have switches in less accessible spots such as at the back, or not at all. In bright mode, the lights provide a strong, pure white illumination that adequately lights up a medium-sized patio. The motion sensor works well, picking up movement from a good distance, and keeping the light on for around 17-18 seconds if there’s no further activity. Overall, I’m satisfied with how these lights perform, and the longevity after five years. They are good value for money, I would recommend them to anyone looking for dependable outdoor lighting, so it’s five stars from me. I hope this review was helpful

Ordered 2 of these for my garden a couple of years ago, so impressed with them at the time that I also got some for my parents to light the way to their back door, all are still working brilliantly. I’ve since reordered as wanted to light up more of the garden for when the dog goes out at night and to hopefully deter neighbourhood cats, they really are amazing, the sensor works as soon as the dog goes into that part of the garden and switches off after 15 seconds if he’s moved away, really easy to fit with just 2 screw into the fence panel, they point downwards so only light the green and are no bother to neighbours and they give sufficient light that I can see him clearly even at midnight. They seem to charge even on relatively dull days so long as you give the solar panels a wipe over every now and then to keep them clean. I’ve now ordered another pack of 2 to put one at the side of the house for if I need to put rubbish out etc at night and one for by the front door as local council switch streetlights off through the early hours. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will try and remember to take a photo tonight to add to this later. * 2 photos added, the light at the top of the garden is on in both as sensor has detected the dog, in the second picture you can see the difference it’s made when the light activated at the bottom of the garden

Additional - 6/1/2020 - After having these through the winter, I would have to say that the lack of control over the detection range is a bit of a pain. As I commented in the main review below, they seem to detect objects beyond the maximum range, and this did result in them coming on a lot. Over the dark winter months, the solar charging simply couldn't keep up and so a few hours into the evening, the light had become a dull yellow. If the detection range was adjustable, I could have tweaked it until the end of the drive was beyond its actual detection range, and thus saved the power for movement on the drive. I don't think this warrants the removal of another star as it had already lost a star due to lack of adjustability, but wanted to mention the issue for future purchasers. Main review: Probably a little early to give a fully rounded review as I've only had these for a couple of weeks, mostly impressed so far. The motion detection is pretty good - always spots me within the advertised 5m and stays on while it can still see me - though a little enthusiastic at times - it will sometimes come on when I walk past or a car drives past the end of my drive, which is at least double the advertised maximum range, though this seems to be very exceptional and doesn't seems to result in the light being on excessively. Fitting was a doddle - 2 screws. Light is very bright - not as bright as the wired in spotlight that it is replacing, but still plenty for the area covered by the motion detector. If you need something a little smaller, there is a version that is about half the size. With winter approaching, it remains to be seen how well it charges and holds its charge during the long winter nights. The advertised "12 hours from an 8 hour charge" seems a little optimistic. Also remains to be seen how waterproof it actually is - the spotlight it is replacing ultimately failed due to a failure of the waterproofing and water getting into the PIR sensor. That unit was a light with an external sensor, so more potential points of failure - this one, being a self-contained unit will hopefully be more robust. It loses a star for the slight quirkiness of the motion sensor and because the off time cannot be adjusted. While the hard-wired 15 seconds is probably a happy medium, depending on where you want to use the light and for what intended purpose, it would be nice to be able to adjust this. I will come back and update this review if anything significant happens.

I recently picked up the HETP Solar Lights for my backyard, and I gotta say, I’m quite happy with them. Right out of the box, setting them up was a breeze. I just mounted them on the wall and made sure they were in a spot that gets plenty of sun during the day. They charge up nicely, and honestly, I've been impressed with how bright they are for being solar-powered. What I particularly like is the three modes you can choose from. Whether you want constant light, motion-activated light, or a more subtle option, it's nice to have some versatility. I’ve kept them on the motion sensor setting, and they light up immediately when someone walks by, which really adds a layer of security. Another thing worth mentioning is how well they hold up against the weather. We've had some heavy rain since I installed them, and they've been perfectly fine. The waterproof feature is definitely a plus for me as I didn't want to worry about them getting damaged. Overall, the HETP Solar Lights have been a solid purchase. They provide good illumination, have decent battery life, and are easy to install. If you’re looking for reliable outdoor lights that won’t break the bank, I’d say give these a try.

I have this light outside for nearly 1 year. I live by the sea and the sea air hasn't effected it at all. The quality is great, very durable, very easy to install. The light is sensitive enough and bright enough. Wish it stayed on a little bit longer as a sensor but that's no where near a deal breaker. They work even on quite cloudy days. Really would recommend them.

Bought last year 2025 in Feb. Both stopped working this year May 2026. Highly recommend to avoid! Battery inside is very large bigger than a AA and has no marking plus it soldered to wires so I can even know if it poor quality battery or the devices

These lights are amazing. Really bright, and the movement sensor is spot on. It's quite sensitive, and given they're recharged only by solar, the power saving compared to being always on makes these usuable at any time of night.

I received one working and one non functional light. The one that works does the job well, good enough battery life as currently in place for 3 months. South facing sensor gets a bit of AM sunshine to charge up. I've had to resecure the adhesive once, but it still works despite having fallen, so good durability. Seems to be handling well with weather elements, provides bright light servicing the bin area. Unfortunately one of the two lights doesn't work even after charging for >12hrs a day for a few days. I figured returning to try again is still a gamble. For not ensuring the shipment of working lights I've deducted a star. And another star deducted as the mode set up is very faffy and complicated. You just have to fiddle with it until you're happy with the mode. If you have money to gamble on function, go for it. Worth it if you're lucky enough to get a working light.

Od początku światło się nie włączało. Rozkręciłem i chciałem wyrzucić i wtedy.... zaczęło działać. Nadal jednak nie działa czujnik ruchu. Praca w trybie ciągłym.

Sono rimasto davvero sorpreso da questo prodotto. Questo faretto è composto da 48 led che offrono una bella illuminazione, tonalità luce naturale, circa 4000 Kelvin. La luce emessa riesce ad illuminare tranquillamente un area di almeno 15 metri. Ci sono 3 funzionalità: 1-luce spenta e si accende quando ci avviciniamo 2-resta sempre accesa alla massima luminosità 3-resta accesa a luminosità minima e appena viene rivelato il movimento va alla massima potenza per una ventina di secondi. Il sensore funziona molto bene e in tutti e 3 i casi ovviamente il farettoo va in funzione solo quando non c'è luce esterna. La stò testando da 2 giorni e per adesso mi ritengo molto soddisfatto. Io iso la modalità 3 sopra la porta di casa,(luce minima sempre attiva e max al rilevamento movimenti) e devo dire che dal tramonto all'alba la batteria ha tenuto alla grande, davvero non me lo aspettavo durasse un intera notte.Vedremo e spero che la batteria duri nel tempo. Visto il prezzo(circa 10 euro a lampada) ovviamente ve la straconsiglio

Die Außenleuchten habe ich bei Blitzangeboten für ca. 17€ gekauft. Für das Geld ist die gebotene Preis-/Leistung gut. Das sind nicht meine ersten, weil ich schon zwei andere im Einsatz habe. Diese neuen habe ich gleich in der richtigen Höhe angebracht und nach 3 sonnigen Tagen dann bewertet. Sie leuchten gut aber sind nicht ganz so hell wie meine anderen, deutlich teueren. Die Sensoren reagieren auch ganz wenig langsamer, sind aber in Ordnung. Die Funktion mit Dämmerungslicht klappt auch prima. Kaufempfehlung. n Anbieters Nachtrag am 09.11.2019: Nach zwei Wochen im Einsatz lädt einer der Leuchten fast nicht mehr auf, ist nur blass. Ich Ich kann sie zwar zurücksenden, habe aber keine Lust die andere abzubauen, weil sie 100% i.O. ist. Also vom Doppelpack funktioniert nur die Hälfte. Daher vergebe ich nur zwei Sterne. Nachtrag am 25.11.2019: Nach Direktkontakt mit dem Anbieter in China hat er mir formlos über Amazon zwei neue Lampen geschickt. Service top !!! Daher erhöhe ich meine Bewertung auf 5 Sterne. Übrigens ich habe 2 weitere, größere Lampen gleichen Anbieters dazugekauft, funktionieren prima.

Funciona muy bien, sólo nos ha fallado después de varios días nublado, que no se carga lo suficiente para dar luz por la noche. El sensor de movimiento es efectivo, incluso a una distancia de unos 20 metros. Lo pusimos hace un año encima de una piscina y da una luz muy intensa, ilumina la piscina tan bien como un foco interior. No hemos tenido que tocarlo en el año que lleva puesto.

Ich habe dieses Set mit zwei Solarleuchten vor vier Jahren gekauft und außen an meiner Garage sowie an einem Schuppen montiert. Beide Leuchten funktionieren bis heute einwandfrei, leuchten ausreichend hell und die Gehäuse sind ebenfalls noch in gutem Zustand. Mit der Qualität und Haltbarkeit bin ich sehr zufrieden. Ich würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen.
