Easy to install and works well (see update)
UPDATE: Switch failed after a couple of days. Some current still flowing to the load when the PIR was 'off'. Have returned the unit. If the return process goes smoothly (OK so far, pre-paid return label has been created) then I will buy another one of these and keep the review rating. Electrical products can have early failure; inconvenient, but if it is dealt with properly and the replacement works well, I dont see that as a reason to downgrade the review. If not, then I will be editing again... I was a little concerned about some of the reviews that mentioned problems installing, but this went into the inset metal lightswitch box perfectly. Took less than 2 minutes to replace the original switch. The instructions are the usual oddly-translated mix of technical terms and glowing adjectives, but reasonably easy to follow. The PIR switch works really well, has great detection, very happy with it. I will be buying a few more. A few points that might be useful to know: *the fixing screws that came were very badly corroded. Not a problem since I was replacing an existing lightswitch, and I just reused my old ones. But a bit odd. * the unit itself measures 82mm square. The decorative cover plate is 89mm square. * the trim pots for the 'on' time and lux settings dont have a lot of travel, but adjustment is easy with a small screwdriver. Be gentle. As the instruction say, turn the time to minimum (anticlockwise) and the lux to max (clockwise) to test it after install. Then set them to your preference. * the switch has just 2 functions; 'off' and PIR. I have not found a way to have permanent 'on', though thats not a problem as small movements trigger the PIR.

Great technical performance but not UK size.
Great device, works really well and the sensor range is outstanding. The only issue is it is smaller than the standard UK socket size that means there's a small gap around the switch that looks 'botched'.

Smart lighting, saves energy, works really well.
So simple and effective, everyone these days is buying internet controlled lights with apps you have to open etc. If you have 2 shopping bags in your hands what you really want is the lights to be so smart that they turn on without apps! If you have kids this stops them leaving the lights on all the time and saved money. Product review and demo in the video.

Fitting quality: to fit into the wall was not ...
Fitting quality: to fit into the wall was not a big deal. However the plastic cover fitting requires redesigning. By taking it off/on more then 2-5 times due to adjustments, the fitting bits cracks and cover become loose. Electronic quality: I have bought 3 of them. All of them behave different. One of them sometimes do not respond to movements, another always respond to movements but does not care day or night. The 3rd one is placed in the dark area, properly respond to movements. To adjust device took time. Seems light sensor not does not properly respond to adjustment. Conclusion: To me this is too expensive device with quite low quality.

Led bulbs brightly light my room automatically.
I bought this to replace a similar device that when wrong when I fitted LED low energy bulbs. It was apparently because the low energy bulbs did not draw sufficient power for the sensor to work. I found this on on line and it says for low energy and LED bulbs. I bought it and fitted it very easily (two wires) and it works perfectly. Now when I enter the room the light comes on, and because it is the utility room the light stays on till I leave (because I am moving around utilising the room) and when I leave the light goes off after a few seconds. That will help my electricity bills. Great device

Worked great.... For 2 days!!!
Product arrived swiftly but one of the little plastic clips that holds the cover on was damaged, despite this it seemed to hold securely. The problem was the day after I had installed it the pir stopped working, the light can still be turned on manually but the whole point of this product is the pir, hence the 1 star

Not suitable for any position where there might be a draught.
You need to note the comments from other customers about this being a continental size, so the fascia will be smaller than any switch you're replacing. This is not a problem if it is being installed on a tiled wall as mine was; I simply cut the slot in my new to fit. The screws are compatible with a standard pattress, so there is no difficulty in securing it. What did cause me difficulty was the extreme sensitivity of the motion sensor. I have a similar device fitted to the ceiling in my porch, which works very well as people and dogs come and go through the doors at either end. There's no messing about with light switches when you're dealing with a couple of dogs who need cleaning-up after being out in the rain. So I thought I would install a similar arrangement for the set of tiny LEDS in the en-suite adjoining our master bedroom. Who wants to grope for a light-switch when their brain is befuddled at two in the morning? Let technology do the work; set it to remain on for twenty seconds after detecting the last movement, and light-switch night terrors would be history. Bad mistake. Because my wife likes to leave the door to the ensuite open when she's asleep - to prevent collisions in her progress from the darkened bedroom into the loo - the sensor is unduly prone to any air movement occurring between the bedroom and the wall of the ensuite. Even though the unit is around the corner, and cannot be seen from the bedroom, the slightest draught (which may not even be detectable by us) triggers it off. Result: light coming on randomly through the night. Not what I wanted at all, so the old switch has had to go back, and the PIR sensor is redundant. I don't know whether this feature is peculiar to this particular switch, and I have not tried it in a closed room, but if you want to install it anywhere there might be some air movement, don't buy this model.
