Good, easy to clean, deep fill nostalgic pie dish.
My current bug bear is excess packaging as I feel I'm constantly folding up cardboard boxes and disposing of them. These pie dishes pass that initial test, coming supplied with just enough packaging to protect them. The dishes themselves have a nostalgic appeal to me, my grandmother uses these type of dishes to cook pies and I love the simple metal/enamel. The dishes are quite thin metal, covered in enamel. The economy of metal possibly harks back to a war time production when resources were thin on the ground. To me, this is not a problem at all as it makes them light and easy to store. Other more professional cooks might have an issue with the lack of heat retention during cooking compared to a ceramic dish. The dishes are deceptively deep. My initial thoughts were along the lines that I would need the mid sized one for the pie filling I'd made but my filling barely filled the small one. This is great for those who like a good amount of filling with their pie. The graduated lip provides for a good base upon which to secure the pastry lid. The enamel covering makes for easy cleaning, even with double baked on pastry and filling after I reheated the leftovers in the same dish. Great product, looking forward to even more pies!

Fantastic set
Great value set that is easy to use and clean. Lovely finish, lightweight but sturdy and cleans well in the dishwasher or hand wash. These look really nice too when you bring the food to the table, which is a nice bonus.

Beware examples of faulty enamel.
I purchased these from ‘Top,Seller - Fulfilled by Amazon’, so my review may not relate to this supplier. These are great ‘old school’ products and I highly recommend them. However, the 24cm dish I received had significant areas of faulty enamel on two of the corners - see photo. The internal tissue packaging and labelling was torn and in disarray, so perhaps this had been the subject of a previous return? I sent feedback to ‘Top,Seller’, asking for a contact email so that I could send them photographic evidence and arrange a replacement, but received no response. Mysteriously, my feedback later disappeared from their storefront! Looking at other reviews, mine is not an isolated case of defects in the enamel of these dishes. Surely, no reputable retailer would despatch such defective products without inspection, and neither would ‘Falcon’ release such defective products - unless they were categorised as ‘factory seconds’, which perhaps this seller subsequently offered ‘as new’? I really only required a response from the seller, and replacement of the single faulty dish, but Amazon accepted a return - presumably as the order was ‘fulfilled’ by them - and so all three went back.
