Just note that they aren't standalone and require a Tapo Hub, but that's usually ~£17 on here for the basic hub, and they seem have a good range for distance from the hub. Can be used just for monitoring, or can easily link to automatically trigger heating, dehumidifiers, etc if desired. Review: Good quality as you’d expect from Tapo - These are a replacement for some old sensors I have. I’m moving everything over to Tapo. These are of great quality and pretty accurate. They were on sale at the time so affordable. Setup was straightforward and took less than a couple of minutes. I added them to the hub which was very quick and painless. As soon as these are on offer again I’ll purchase more. 100% recommend. ## Features - Fast & Accurate Monitoring - Detects temperature and humidity with great accuracy; Updates every 2 seconds; (temperature thermometer Accuracy: ±0.3 °C, ±3% RH) - Home Automation - Automatically turns on/off home electronics when settings fall outside their present ranges; Tapo hygrometer humidity meter is a great tool for your home automation; also can be used as baby room thermometer , outdoor thermometer and greenhouse thermometer - Free Data Storage & Visual Graphics - Tapo humidity sensor records temperature and humidity data and generates periodic data summaries. I can't find the H200 sold separately and need a second hub as using cameras in diff buildings** A: No, Tapo H100 cannot support Tapo C420 Cameras. The Tapo H200 will be released in later Dec. **Q: Thermostat and smart plug can I just use the tapo app to controll minimum and maximum temperature to turn appliances on and off ?** A: you would need to add a tapo hub, the thermostat won't communicate directly to your router as this takes a lot of battery power, instead it communicates with the hub which plugs directly into a power socket, from there you can download and control a tapo smart socket via the tapo app. Having said all that, I bought one to control the humidity in my chameleon vivarium and it was worse than hopeless so I've ditched it. Money wasted! **Q: Anyone know the maximum operating temperature for the door sensor? I want to use one in an external post box and receive an alert when it's opened?** A: Hi, Tapo T100 Operating Temperature: 0 ºC– 40 ºC (32°F–104°F ) Hope this info is helpful. ^WR **Q: Are there parts in the box to fit this sensor to offset doors and windows (i.e. those that are not level with the frame)?** A: It comes with sticky foam pads. You can double up the pads on one half for offset frames ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressive little sensors *by A***Y on 18 March 2026* I have a couple of these now (along with quite a few other Tapo items now) and they are great for monitoring temperature and (relative) humidity, especially in out-of-the-way places you might want to keep an eye on, such as roof voids, sheds, garages, etc. They're nice and compact with a clean minimal appearance if placing somewhere visible, come with a range of mounting options (adhesive, magnet, hanging loop), and they log data to the app on your phone, which can also be exported and downloaded.
