I couldn't install this on my Mac equipment. Pity really. There definitely is a space for a simple photo editor that doesn't clog up your system such as if you install Photo Shop or Lightroom.

I’m quite an experienced user of Photoshop, but with that being so expensive I thought I would try this. This is quite a complicated software, will take a lot of practise but excellent value for money. The reason I took a star off is that when I am using it it does strange things out of the blue and crashes. I may be doing something wrong, will have to persevere. At the price though you haven’t really got much to lose if you don’t get on with it

What I like about this package uis that it is relatively small but very functional. Most important for me was its ability to use layers. I am an occaisional dabbler in photo-editing usually for my blogs or web-sites. The menus are laid out simply and it is far easier to get what you want when you want it. There is plenty of depth and complexity which I shall never touch but may be sufficient for the semi-professional, e.g. hobbyists and web-developers. It comes with an extensive tutorial that you can read in pdf. I have only given 3 stars to 'easy to use' because I haven't had much time to play with it but its history with Linux must have dealt with most UI issues. How can I onlty give four stars for 'value for money' when such an amazing package is under £10? Well, because it's free on Linux and that means programmers created something for no profit. If you have any qualms about buying this product -DON'T! It's the best deal you're ever likely to get!

I have not had the time to work with this editing photo program as it’s massive by going through it’s drop down boxes, it looks to be as big as photoshop. I am looking forward to working with it soon it’s easy and quick to install with plenty of instructions to help with the installation. It comes with a full working manual in pdf format plus questions and answers section and contact instructions if any problems should arises I highly recommend this Seller Pixel Classics , as being genuine and supportive of their software and and for keeping in touch with me right up to receiving my two DVDs (Libre Office and Gimp photo editing program) as I received well within the specified postal time. I hope this review helps to make up your mind if you’re in search of quality replacement programs at a very reasonable price and good value for two excellent products.

There is nothing wrong with this program at all. It gets excellent write ups and works extremely well! However, buying it is a no-go really as the software is free to download. No licence is required. I thought I noticed this fact somewhere before buying but I decided not to check again and made the order in a hurry. So I simply wasted £10. When I got the disc, I was pleased, but once installed, I got a message saying that an update already existed and I went online to download it. The new version simply overwrites the disc version you have already installed. So you may as well visit the GIMP website and download it straight away, and not waste your money! It would be better to do this and make a small donation if you were happy with it. The current version at the time of writing this review is GIMP 2.10.20. I believe it was the 2.10.16 version I bought on disc, and immediately updated to the 2.10.18 version. Since then, the 2.10.20 version has been released and I currently have it running on my PC.
